Many people were distracted by the strange FOV issues this game has.
Thanks to a moderator on the steam forum, we have a temporal fix:

go to: AppData\LocalLow\3D Realms_Slipgate Ironworks\Reloaded_SP\

Open the "Prefs" file with notepad, and change "is_vertical_fov" from True to False.


This works really well for me, having a 32:9 Screen.
