Dude! Tatsuya Yoshida is my hero and my favorite drummer of all time for years now. That's crazy.

I saw him in person when he was performing as Ruins Alone. I brought my first press LP of Ruins II, which had a little pull-out flexi-disc of Ruins 1 and got him to sign it. He was obviously hella surprised to see someone in the States that actually owned it haha.

I would -kill- to see Koenjihyakkei live, I have the DVD (with Imahori Tsuneo on it!). I think the closest they came was Canada. (Also sorry I accidentally spazzed and clicked the delete button on the first one you linked in my excitement to reply lol, which one was it that you linked again?)

Damn! It's absolutely up your alley, I think all of Sogo Ishii's movies would be. He was pretty much the pioneer of punk rock Bōsōzoku movies before getting into more serious psychological topics like in Angel Dust.

"In 1982, Ishii directed Burst City, an action film about a wild gang of quasi-mutant bikers who ride into a town staging protests against the construction of a nearby nuclear reactor plant. The film starred members of Japanese punk bands The Roosters, The Rockers, The Stalin and Inu, among others. He became a favorite among rebel and punk cineastes in Japan. DJ Akoza's beats are sick! That clip you hear in the video reminded me of this Buddha gif you have here so I played both together and they fit so well, hence why I joined them together.

I'm envious of your skills, I picked up video editing in high school because I desperately wanted to get the visions of cyber-fueled dystopia out of my head via music I really like set to visuals from movies I really like (of course, starting with experimenting on Akira or Ghost in the Shell clips and shit. My proudest one was Dark Crystal set to a Butthole Surfers song). I hope you keep making games and visuals, because I'm already hungry for more and it's hella inspiring.

Also damn thanks for the new music to check out (DJ Akazo), being from Oakland I'm always looking for raw hip hop that reminds me of the old shit we used to have here. It's bugging me though, that twangy acoustic sounding sample he's got in that part on your video, I swear I've heard it before. It almost sounds like shamisen or koto.
