RiotShield Reduction By Solved/Devlos! Aka "Timonenluca"
Commisioned by Henrietta.

Riot shield will reduce damage when hit directly infront onto the riotshield based on the damagereceived provided in the configuration file , Damage that can't be blocked to reduce damage is Spitter Acid and Fire.

A Local/Dedicated Server Mod

found a bug where if i put the frontal dmg value as 0.0 and i take dmg from the front, it gives me more health instead of not taking any damage at all

what about a passive effect that allows the riotshield to tank damage when it isn't equipped, since it is on the player's back?

could we create a version similar to csgo? that the shield completely cancels the frontal damage, but that the shield has a predetermined life and that when the shield runs out it simply breaks (as an example I have the script that melee weapons break).

I just realized that it doesnt block the witch's one shot claw strike when using the shield, tried doing it on hard rain chapter 2

@xeno You can decide yourself to set the damage reduction and by how much , you can also set damage multiplier if hit on the back while wearing a shield to give downsides to the use of a riotshield. This makes it skill based as getting hit without aiming the shield at a enemy results in being punished.
