Silver Shield Legionaries for the Seleucid Empire! Rome: Total War unit

And now I present the easiest unit I have made thus far... and it still took 2-4 hours! Silver shield legionaries, as seen in Rome 1! Complete and utter copy paste of a unit over to Seleucid, however the process of copy/pasting is a lot harder than you would think.
They will stay this silver color for all factions, should you subjugate seleucid and recruit them as, say, Parthia, they won't change to Parthia's color.
Oh, and they use the Greek Kopis instead of Gladii, as I think they'd prefer their own weapons, even if they're using Roman armor/shields.

New update to this unit as of 11/17/14! They can now be upgraded to Silver Shield Legionary Cohorts as the Roman legionaries can as well. They look precisely the same as the Roman ones plus a cape. There isn't any variation because if there was, it wouldn't look like the Rome 1 unit. (Also I don't think the Seleucids would use the Italic or Gallic Roman helmets).

its awesome being able to make these again, i always liked the mock legion idea in rome 1. Out of curiosity, are you intrested in making the armenian and numidian mock legionary as well?

Just stumbled across this and am bewildered by people who think that they know everything about modding and decided to insult some guy they don't know who made a mod which by this point is about 8 years old

It probably doesn't... I tried to fix my unit mods a while ago, but even though I set them up in a way they should work, they did not. CA just went and broke all mods one day and there's not a big enough community anymore for me to ask around how to fix them.

Make it yourself then and don’t complain about a mod no one has given a damn about for 5 YEARS. You don’t understand that most unit mods in this game just re use the games own assets? There are custom units out but they came long after support for this game ended and required so much more effort than what I was willing to make because I didn’t expect assholes to bother me over something so insignificant five years in the future.

So you just edit the model settings, give it equpment and changed faction colors? Sorry, i do not know how modding works, but retexture the shield should not be so hard. If you are posting a mod you suppose to have some small skill in moddding. Let's see some your later works then. Want to look at your progress.

@communityoffline maybe you didn't realize but this mod hasn't been touched for 4 years.
Also, there's not even a shield of that type without the markings, I definitely looked.

Markings on the shields are sacred and related to Mars, Victoria and so on. These are ROMAN gods. Autor, imagine you are from modern army (maybe you are) and you are at war with someone. And you are wearing a flag and insignia of an enemy state or just wrong country. Or you are christian and wearing green t-shirt with islamic "thing" on it? :steamfacepalm:
