Description

With this you download two examples of airlocks both using the same microcontroller.
The first is big airlock with every feature the controller can provide. It could be used for a moon base for example.
The second one is as small as possible with reduced features and a volume of only 3 x 3 x 3 which could be useful for rockets and other tight spaces.

Features of the Microcontroller:
  • digital user interface
  • a different monitor signal with a skip button
  • airlock adapts to outside and inside pressure
  • works in any atmosphere
  • pressure and door status indicators on interface (pressures are displayed relative to each other so one bar is alway filled)
  • rgb lights and buzzer
  • options for non-digital input
  • code is not minified, separated into multiple scripts by functionality and partly with notes for better undestanding

making a custom airlock

If these examples don't suit your needs then just build your own. You can use the microcontroller on the big example build or download it from the workshop.

Here are a bunch of tips for building a custom one
  • take the big original microcontroller connect the in-/outputs and then remove what you don't need, as in the small example
  • read the in-/outputs descriptions
  • use the examples as a reference
  • the microcontroller has options for button inputs so you don't need do use monitors if it's too complicated
  • the unnecessary in-/outputs are marked
  • you can not use manual doors for this
  • when you have questions you can ask them on this page
  • when you want to remove/customize which screen has the skip button and which doesn't then also don't forget to input their touch signal to the corresponding lua script. As in the example you can connect multiple with a composite switchbox and a composite read on channel 1 connected to the switchbox. In the small airlock the skip button is removed so look into that microcontroller if you need an example.

Underwater:
  • The microcontroller is intended to function underwater
  • add extra pumps for water with port on the floor for faster drainage
  • the airlock has adjustable tolarance so the room will not be completely empty (because it takes too long), thus some water will enter so consider a bilge pump

check if there is any water inside your airlock. Pumps might to be able to remove the water and thus mess up the sensor data. If there is water I recommend a bilge pump with the fluid port at the bottom of the airlock. Hope this helps

hey this is wonderful but im having an issue, before my custom airlock using this controller was fine cycling pretty fast, but then all of a sudden it is WILDLY slow, any idea what the issue might be? sorry for being a little unlcear
