Better Than Fists

Description: Equip a tool for the first time.

You'll need to make a tool in the anvil.

Novice

Learn 8 skills.

You should be able to get this before expanding Grasslands to the max. There will be 2 book spawns per expansion. Keep looking, they might be a little hard to find.

Expansionist

Grow your island.

There's a monolith that takes credits. Once you have enough, interact with it.

Now you can do that

Go for a swim.

The name of this achievement is a reference to how, in the Prologue (also called First Journey), going in the water would "kill" the player.

Sleeping owl

Sleep during the day.

Bundle Breaker

Buy your first bundle.

Bundles are the little things around the Monolith. You can interact at any time to pay off part of the resources needed to finish it. Complete a bundle for this achievement.

Resource scavenger

Destroy 500 resources.

Resources destroyed by mining posts will not count.

Shiny!

Destroy 5 shinies.

"Shinies" are the shiny resources you'll occasionally see scattered around after acquiring the "Shiny" skill. They spawn somewhat infrequently, but are worth a decent amount of credits. Remember that you can turn on automatic click mode in Accessibility settings.

Crafting Enthusiast

Craft 100 items.

You can queue multiple items in one crafter, or build multiple crafters to get this done faster.

Apprentice

Learn your first skill.

There are books around your island. These provide skills that can be upgraded in the Skills Enhancer.

It doesn't grow more, sorry

Expand an island to the max.

Grasslands will be the easiest to do this with, as expansion is the cheapest there.

Hunter

Kill 25 creatures by hand.

To whom is this addressed?

Read a letter.

You'll need to place down the mailbox for this. When you have a new letter, the flag will be up.

Automation

Build a breaker.

It doesn't matter where you build it, but trying to get as much in the radius as possible is going to help with the efficiency of it.

This is MINE

Visit your personal cave.

This is going to be towards the top right of the research table.

No time to waste!

Speed up a craft.

You'll need to craft a ring in the anvil.

Now it's mine

Steal a turtle shell.

If you have automatic clicking on, you'll need to set it to manual to do this. Simply press E on it.

Possible threat

Kill a slime.

Slimes spawn at night in Amberpath. Complete all bundles in Grasslands to get there.

Tens unlocked

Reach 10000 credits.

This is for having 10000 credits, not making 10000 credits total.

Creature slayer

Slay 75 creatures by hand.

Egg

Pet a chicken.

Again, you'll need to turn off automatic clicking. Same method as the turtle shell.

Everyone disliked that

Kill a turtle after having stolen its shell.

More crafts!

Make a synergy.

When in the build menu for some buildings, you'll see a list of buildings that they have "synergies" with. Place these buildings next to or near each other to create the synergy.

The big blow

Get 5000 credits in one go.

Breaking any resource gives you credits equal to its normal max HP, with shinies having 10x HP but also giving 10x/20x credits. Just keep clicking and you'll get through.

Prolific crafter

Craft 1000 items.

He needs some milk

Milk a cow.

I'm not gonna lie, I laughed when I got this and saw the name.

Pest control specialist

Kill 150 creatures by hand.

Island awakener

Activate an island.

You'll need to place down an Island Core and set the island as a "passive island". It's on the far right of the Research Table.

Novice builder

Build 25 builds.

Nerfed as of 1.0.7 from 50.

Foundations/walls/pillars/etc. do not count towards this achievement.

Resource demolisher

Destroy 2500 resources.

Again, this needs to be done by hand.

Wealth in round numbers

Reach 100000 credits.

Only the book and the child are left

Plant a seed.

Seeds can be made in the Mill, and planted in crop planters. In order for them to grow, they'll need to be watered.

Big brother

Build a mining post.

Journeyman

Learn 25 skills.

Wildlife hunter

Kill 250 creatures by hand.

Build an Advanced Research Table.

Very bottom of the Research Table.

Your soul is mine

Kill with the scythe for the first time.

You'll need to craft the Bone Sword in order to unlock the recipe for the Scythe.

Open the mind

Build an Amplifier.

Masterful producer

Craft 5000 items.

100 already...

Play for 100 in-game days.

Virtual millionaire

Reach 1,000,000 credits.

Soul collector

Gather 300 living souls.

This is a total 300 souls collected, not 300 souls at once. Enemies on later islands tend to drop more souls per kill.

Resource wrecker

Destroy 5000 resources.

Gem collector

Have amber, emerald, sapphire and ruby in your inventory.

Each of these are generally acquired from a different island.

Virtuoso

Craft 10000 items.

Mario would have liked this

Break a massive mushroom.

Teleporter renamer

Change the name of a teleporter.

The teleporter is towards the bottom left of the Advanced Research Table.

First Sip

Drink 1 potion.

You'll need Weird Berries to craft potion bottles. They can only be grown from Weird Berry seeds, made at the mill.

Dreams shattered

Break a star.

Fallen star fragments are exceedingly rare until the endgame. If you find one before then, turn on automatic click in your settings if you don't have the working glove already -- you're going to be here there for a little while.

Skilled builder

Build 100 builds.

Nerfed as of 1.0.7 from 150.

Terraform

Rotate a block.

To craft the necessary item, you'll need a carpenter's workbench that has a synergy.

That's not very respectful of you

Break a tomb.

You'll need your cave to be a Soul cave. Craft the lamp of soul from a synergized Inscription table.

Master

Learn 50 skills.

There are exactly 50 skills. If you haven't gotten this by the time that you've gotten The Circle, you've missed one.

Alternative path

Eat a Poisoned Apple.

Did you know that apple seeds have about 3mg/g of cyannide?

Revelation

Convert a quadstone prism.

This is how you will get holy prisms.

Rings

Touch 10 rings without touching the ground.

I've never had a ring spawn in any of my saves and I don't know why lol
Update v 1.0.12: Skill may be fixed, will test later

Mastering a skill

Improve a skill with 7 points to the maximum.

This one might be bugged according to some reports, but I can't validate that myself.

First feeling

Get the circle part 1.

The bundles in Sky give parts of The Circle.

Cosmic corruption

Convert a star fragment into a dark star fragment.

To speed this up, I'd recommend the use of spreaders.

Sacred artifact

Craft a holy artifact.

If you haven't crafted Charged Octanite tools, you'll need to do so first.

Output required

Electrify a vacuum.

There have been reports that this doesn't work right unless you place down the vacuum first.

The circle

Craft the circle.

Only one thing left to do.

Finally free

Sleep having in your inventory The Circle.

So how was your dream?

Change song on the radio.

Above the sky

Too much height.

I personally found it easiest to build up to the required height, but some people made crazy setups involving maximizing jump boost to do it. Your choice which one you want to do.

Creativity!

Change the color of a build.

You know those dye things you made for Amberpath? They actually have a use.

Vegetarianism

Eat a seaweed.

Dried seaweed is actually pretty good, if you can handle how salty it is.

Change the material of a build to brick.

Market Resurrector

Reset the market for a value greater than 10000.

I could put the first paragraph of the communist manifesto in here, but I'm not going to.

Resource devourer

Destroy 10000 resources.

As of v. 1.0.12, resources broken with automation should count for this achievement.

Before v. 1.0.12, this achievement required breaking 10000 resources by hand, making it one of the more uncommon achievements among people who had completed the game.

Island eater

Replace an island.

Kirby if he was in outpath

Oops.

Fall into the void. You can do this in 2 ways -- escape the cave, or swim past the edge of the world. Your shaders might be bugged if you do it the first way -- just enter and exit a cave to fix it.

Organized inventory

Sort items in a chest using a Stacker.

Yes, this is the only reason to use a stacker in chest mode for now.

Repentance

Remove color from a build.

No you can't mlg remove paint from a build

Bony trophies

Turn 10 creatures into bones.

This has to be done all at once. Until 1.0.14, the creature cap was set at 15, effectively mandating the use of the bone staff and hunters. Now, with a changeable creature cap of up to 50, this may no longer be necessary.

Effects overload

Have all potion effects at the same time.

Chanchita Garden

Collect 1111 flowers.

Formerly Chanchita Style: Don't use collectors until you beat the game.

Friends :D

Feed your companion.

Open the mailbox after beating the game. The bird likes red berries.
Before 1.0.7, the bird was obtained by going to the roof of the cave.

One punch-man

Break a big rock in one blow without tools.

Activate the amber cave. You'll need every damage buff you can get. This achievement only works when it wants to.

Reach the integer limit on credits.
Created as a nod to Leadz539, who did this legitimately in First Journey, causing the credits to loop around to be negative.

Expert builder

Build 150 builds.

Nerfed as of 1.0.7 from 300.

You must have 150 "buildings" built at once. No, walls don't count.

Architect

Build 300 builds.

Nerfed in 1.0.7 from 750.

My diet

Fixed as of 1.0.7.

Eat a pizza, a hamburger, and an ice cream.

Frozen honey can be made by putting a beehive in White Peaks.

Knowledge

Research all buildings on a research table.

May be bugged.

My journey

Read the 8 letters.

The eighth letter should be obtainable within the game, although I'm not certain of the method to do so.

Obtaining the letter legitimately (hints are more obvious by line):
Where the sky meets the sea, the next key will be.
The word Sky is of importance.
Check in the water under the sky biome.

Obtaining the letter through save file editing (the "old fashioned" way):

Your save file can be found in %APPDATA%/../LocalLow/DAVII PROJECTS/Outpath/SaveFile_.es3. You can open this with any text editor.
Add "156" to the values of "BottlesManager.instance.lettersToSpawnNext".
David, if you're reading this, thank you for letting me figure that out on my own, and hinting I already knew how. It meant a lot to be able to find that on my own, and know it was put in there for people who've been around for a little while.

Maxed out

Improve all skills to the maximum level.

No, there's nothing else to spend credits on now except staves.

Possibly bugged as of 1.0.8; some people may be able to obtain this, while others might not.

Possibly fixed as of 1.0.12, as per patch notes.

Goodies

Collect from a collector with a full inventory.

A "full inventory" means having all 9 slots filled.
Some people are having trouble earning this achievement as of 1.0.9.
As of 1.0.14 I haven't heard this as much, so I'm marking this as "not bugged".

[REMOVED] A sweet surprise

Load a save file from Outpath: First Journey.

Removed around 1.0.7.

Removed because people would load their save into First Journey and lose all of their progress, since the save files weren't compatible. Additionally, some First Journey files wouldn't give the achievement; a file I have from the January build worked, but one from June did not.

@x666am It's not possible, unless you change the (third? fourth? i forget exactly) value of GameStats.instance.statsArray in your save file to 0, and then set weReachedTheFinal to false, then enter the bed.

Mastering a skill and maxed out both work fine on saves that aren't maxed out. The achievement is currently tied to the action of purchasing the last point, rather than having them purchased. You can go into the file data and search for "UpgradesData.instance.skillsTiers" to manually lower a number down by one to repurchase it and get the achievements
