Before you start playing any levels
Very important thing you need to do before you play any of the levels is to calibrate. The calibration is done in oder to make the game easier to play. For example if you have slow reflexes and you hit mostly LPerfect or Late or the opposite EPerfect and Early. The calibration will offset the song in order to make it easier to play it.

The way you do it is by going to the calibration portal thingy:

But if you are inside of a level you don't have to quit it. You can just press the ESC key
and then press C

Now that you are in the calibration menu you have to press the keys in time with the music and the game will automatically determine your offset.

You also have the option to set it manually which can be done from the settings.
ESC > SETTINGS > AUDIO > IMPUT OFFSET

Side note: I actually prefer my offset to be 0ms since the beats are in sync with the imputs.

What should I play with?

You can use the whole keyboard with the exeption of:
- ESC (you use it to pause)
- WIN (you use it to tab out)
- TAB (you use for shortcuts)
- F1-F12 (those are reserverd functions)
Also you can use multible keys in order to make more inputs. I would recommend using the keys: Z, X, C, V, B, N, M. Avoid using big ones since they are slow to press (SPACE, ENTER ect.)

You can also use the mouse but I do not recommend it.
(unless you want to buy new one every day or week)

P.S. from now on when I am saying key/keys I'll be mostly refering to the keyboard keys.
World 1 explained
Almost all levels in ADOFAI have tutorial sublevels or as the game says it "worlds". Their purpose is of course to teach the player the mechanics of the game. Sometimes however they may seem unclear and hard to understand. In this section I'll try my best to explain all tutorials and how to beat the "boss level" of World 1.

  • 1-1 Playing it straight
    - This one is the easiest. Here you need to press in time with the beats. The delay between the beats is eaqual: tap - tap - tap - tap

  • 1-2 Z-Bend
    - This tutorial introduces the Z-Bend. It is a bit tricky but the way you do it is when your planets (the red and blue balls) are on the edge tile you have to wait a bit longer and then when about to hit the bottom tile you need to press the key fast twice. wait - tap>tap

  • 1-3 S-Bend
    - The S-Bend is the opposite of the Z-Bend. Instead of waiting a little bit and pressing the key fast twice, you do the opposite. When on the bottom cornor of the track, press the key twice and then wait a little bit. tap>tap - wait

  • 1-4 More Bends
    - This tutorial mostly tests if you managed to learn the Z-Bend and the S-Bend. If you haven't you can always come back to the previous tutorial by pressing ESC > PREVIOUS

  • 1-5 Turn Up
    - Now it's getting hard. The tutorial puts 2 S-Bends next to each other. It may look scary but all you have to do is: tap>tap - wait - tap>tap - wait

  • 1-6 get Ready
    - This tutorial does two things. It put two Z-Bends next to each other and all you have to do is the same as the double S-Bends but the opposite: wait - tap>tap - wait - tap>tap. The other thing it does is intruduce the Blue Snail. Its purpose is to slow down the movement of the planets' rotation.

  • 1-X A Dance Of Fire And Ice
    - The final challenge of World 1. In the level you get tested wheather you mastred the two types of bends. The song is longer and slightly faster than the tutorials and also has visual effects at the bends. If the effects make it harder for you to play you can always turn them off.
ESC > SETTINGS > GRAPHICS > VUSIAL EFFECTS > MIMIMUM
If you think you haven't mastered the Z-Bend and the S-Bend feel free to return to the tutorial levels by pressing:
    ESC > PREVIOUS

World 2 explained
Now it's time to move to the second world in the game. It doesn't untroduce anything new in concept (exept for one thing but we'll get to it). The tutorials instead show us what to expect from the level.

  • 2-1 North and South Are Always Off Beat
    - This tutorial tell us that when you are either going up or down the tiles aren't matching the beats of the song. However this shouldn't be anything to worry about since in the final level the melody is in sync with the tiles. Also the track in the level is has an extended Z-Bend.

  • 2-2 Big-Step
    - The tutorial, like the previous, doesn't introduce anything new. Here we can see an extended
    S-Bend.

  • 2-3 Upbeat
    - The last tutorial trains us to travel up the track. Don't worry it may look scary but in reality it's just like 1-1 exept you are going up.
Side note: When switching axies you have to press fast.
    horizontal - tap>tap - vertical - tap>tap - horizontal

  • 2-X Offbeats
    - This world's final challenge. As 2-1 said it going down or up is always off beat but not out of sync. The track is in time with the melody so listen for the piano. This is also where we get introduced to the Red Rabbit. Its purpose is to speed up the rotation of the planets. Again if you think you have trouble don't hesitate to return to the tutorial worlds. (ESC > PREVIOUS)

World 3 explaned
Now it's time for the world that may give you some trouble. This is where you get to learn new patterns. Without further ado let's get into the explanation.

  • 3-1 Three Point Turns
    - The three point turns are quite hard for begginers if they don't learn them. The way you have to deal with them is simple. When you are about go upside down while going down you have to wait in between inputs: tap - wait - tap - wait . but when you are about to switch to upright you have to do 3 fast inputs: tap>tap>tap.

  • 3-2 More Three Point Turns
    - In this tutorial you have to again go through the three point turns. The only difference is that you are going up and the inputs are switched. When about to go upside down: tap>tap>tap, when about to go upright: tap - wait - tap - wait.

  • 3-3 Serpentine
    - Now this is where the difficulty rises. Here the three point turns get shrunk meaning you need to be more careful with the imputs.
The first serpentine represents the 3-1 three point turn: tap - wait - tap - wait - tap>tap>tap.
The second serpentine is the 3-2 three point turn: tap>tap>tap - wait - tap - wait.
Both serpentines get repeated one more time in the tutorial.

  • 3-4 SSSSSS
    - This tutorial is where the track gets bend is the shape of a lot of S-es. The input pattern is repeated for the lenght of the SSSSSS track.
The pattern, that you need to learn, is: tap - wait - tap - wait - tap>tap>tap and don't forget to repeat it in oder to beat the tutorial.

  • 3-5 More SSSSSS
    - Just like the previous tutorial you need to memorize a pattern in order to beat it but the pattern here is reversed: tap>tap>tap - wait - tap - wait

  • 3-6 These Tutorials Are Inadequate for What's Coming, Forgive me
    - If you thought tha the SSSSSS was hard you are mistaken. The track bends in such weird ways that is makes it hard to read. But don't worry here's the inputs that you need to make in order to beat no problem: tap>tap - wait - tap - tap - wait - tap -wait - tap>tap>tap. The pattern repeats itself exacly two times so it shouldn't be a problem.

  • 3-X THE WIND-UP
    - This is it. The 6 tutorials lead to the final level. Here the different bends repeat A LOT, so prepare. Don't worry there's a checkpoint before the hard part. My best tip for beating this level is to listen to the music and try to be in time with the music with your inputs. This will make playing it much easier.

Coming soon
Since I am very busy with other stuff, I only had time to write explaination on World 1, World 2 and World 3. If you guys want I can expand the guide by adding explanations for all 12 levels.
(And probably some tips and tricks)

Worlds that I may or may not add in the near future
- World 4
- World 5
- World 6

~Thank you for reading this short guide!~

(also i'm sorry for any mistakes i make since english is not my first language)
