Some of you may have noticed while playing the game that you just stumble across some random chest in one of the many islands. This random chest has a small chance of appearing in a variety of islands in obscure locations, and only one player can claim it. When opened, it gives you a single
item by default, which is affected by upgrades like Big Chests or Relics. This guide aims to compile all of these locations into one convenient guide so that next time you play, you might find one of these spawn and give you a little extra advantage!

NOTE: As previously stated, these have a small chance of spawning in set locations on each island. You will not always find a random chest on each island, so keep your eyes peeled, and you might get lucky!

ALSO: You do not need any movement modifiers to be able to reach most of these chests. While they may help, they are not required. Any chest that requires any specific equipment or movement upgrades will have its header italicized. Otherwise, you don't need anything special

This one is easy - it randomly spawns in Tony's garden in the shop!

This chest can be found in one of the bush bundles near the center of the island





This one's also hidden behind a bush, so it's super easy to spot. But it's basically right over here. Not hard to reach





This one's just chilling on top of this rock in the middle of the island. You can easily get to it by climbing on various spots on the rock, including the tops of rocks, or on the cracks



Might take a bit of practice, but it isn't too bad





This one's in a pretty funny position, actually



First ya wanna jump all the way down to the bottom



Then head over in this direction



It's just chillin on the side of this rock here. Not where i expected to find it, but here it is!





This one's another chest that's just hiding inside one of these bushes over here




This one's bidden in the bushes, and is pretty far up, so it's kinda hard to notice it's there



To easily reach it, you can use the launch pad here in combination with a double jump to reach the top of the edge of the map. Then just circle around the perimeter till you get to it!




This one's hidden right inside of the tall mountain



Simply jump off the cliff



And you'll find the chest inside this cave!




This is a very sneaky one. You'll probably never even know there's a spot here without searching



From the top, you wanna just jump off till ya reach the bottom



There's this specific spot you wanna look for, right here. There's a tiny hole that you can squeeze through




Keep climbing inside and you should eventually reach the chest!




This is sitting somewhere on top of this mountain in the middle



Right in that area over there, if ya look off the side of the cliff, you should see it chilling on one of the platforms there



Sneaky!




This is a hidden one. Thankfully, for how traversable and spacious this map is, it's not too far off the main path



Just find this little spot here and you can climb the rocks to get to it. There are over a dozen ways to climb up these rocks, so it should be pretty easy




This is just off to the left right here




You can easily jump up on these rocks to get there. Don't forget you can jump on some of the cracks in the rocks to climb them!




This one's just sitting out here in the open!




This one is alllll the way up on that mountain. You can just barely see the purple light coming from what appears to be an epic loot item

This might be the only mountain where you may require specific items/upgrades to get. With the Variety update, you can equip the grappling hook to get up there easily




It's just chillin up on the side of the cave opening to the left




This chest is resting up top this pillar thing. It's easy to get to, just jump on one of the sides of the walls and hop across the pillars

This one's another easy one - it randomly spawns right in the open somewhere off to one side




Similar to its Tropical Island variant, you can use the same launch pad + double-jumping technique to easily soar up to the top of the pillars and grab your chest form there!





This one's a tricky one, and requires a bit of parkour to reach. I'll do my best to explain how to reach this location in the following screenshots:



First, you wanna move over to this side of the map and note this specific area. I climbed up on this rock step-by-step. You may need to hug the right a little bit as you climb



Once you get up here, jump on this ledge



You should now be facing this big ol' rock. This may be a bit tricky to climb up, but you essentially wanna hug the right side of this rock for the extra platforms



Once you're here, you're just a double-jump away from reaching the top!


Now once you're here, just jump right onto that area there, and you should now be able to claim your free chest!



It can also spawn on top of this little bit of rock here, which you can easily jump on the rocks to get to




This one's hard to spot from the ground, and you gotta look for it to see if it's there. I'll show you an easy way to get there



First, get on these crystals on this side of the island so you can get on the rocks there



Once you're up here, you wanna jump on that ledge there



Now you're just a double-jump away to getting on top



Enjoy your free chest!




This one's both easy to spot and easy to get to. Directly to the left of the chest, you can climb on the rocks to reach it!




This one's easy to get, but is easily missed if you don't know about it. Just look on the side of the arena top at that spot and you'll get it!




This one's a bit of an adventure to get to, so i'll show you how to get up there



Find these sets of rocks. This makes it easy to get on top of the map



Then off to the left, go here and get on this rock



Now you wanna climb up here. Shouldn't be too hard to get up there



Then it's just climbing up these two rocks, and you should be getting close!



Congrats, you're almost there!



This one's a bit tricky. You wanna jump right on that ledge. You should be able to jump up from there onto the very top of the map



And there ya go! Enjoy your free chest!




This one's another easy one. It spawns right atop the middle pillar here. You can easily climb up the side to get to it!




This one's an obvious one, once you know it's there. I always climb up the left side of the cliff to reach it



Specifically this side. Not hard to get to at all!




This one's very noticeable to spot, might be one of the first things you can notice here



You can easily get up there by climbing the walls from this side here



Then just circle around till you reach it!




This one's hidden right in these bushes near the bottom of the slope






This one is sitting right on top of this patch of rock here



You can reach it by climbing on top of the cracks in the rocks as shown above




This one is also easy to spot - From your spawn point, look to the right. You can easily jump up on the rocks to get up to there

This one's a bit hidden in this area, but you can find it out in the open hiding behind one of the little hills

This one's right in between these two giant rocks in the middle of the map




This one's just kinda on the side of the the insides of the big dome thing




Somewhere out in the open you can find this chest




This is on top of this pillar here.



You can jump on these cracks to make your way up. Might take a bit of work to get around the cracks and all that, but you can definitely make it up there




Similar to the previous one, this chest rests atop this pillar here.



Should be able to jump on this crumbled pillar to the top, the hop across the rest of them to reach it




This one's sitting right at the tippy top of this pillar. Looks impossible, huh?



Not so fast, we can use this jump pad to reach it. Be sure when you hit the jump pad, you do an extra jump immediately after. This will give you much greater height, high enough to be able to reach the top

This one's easy to get to, but may be easy to miss



You can easily reach it by climbing up on this side of the rock, then going across the flat top




This one's another easy one to get to, but hard to spot



You can just climb up this side of the mountain to reach it




This one's sitting wayyyy up there on the map. Thankfully, not too bad to reach



See that ledge over there? You wanna jump on that



Once you get on that rock, you can climb this sequence of ledges



Then it's just getting up top these little bit here, and you'll be able to claim the chest!




Ok so this one you really can't see it at all, but it's sitting right up top of the arena. Lemmie show you how i get to it



First you wanna leave the arena through the big obvious opening and take a right



Walk out a ways and find this block of stone. This one is just lets you crawl right up its side



Then just jump across these rocks a bit



At this particular slant, it's easy to climb up its side



From here on out it should be very simple to just jump from rock to rock. You should eventually reach the top and claim your free chest!




This one sits way up there. It's actually pretty easy to get to



See that launcher? Use that to fly all the way up



Then you're just a double-jump away!




This one's rather annoying to get to, but not impossible. Just takes some precise jumps



First you wanna come to this side of the rock formation here. Jump on the crystal to get up on that ledge



This is the most annoying jump of this one. See that little lip on the mountain? Jump on that to get the extra height. You essentially wanna walk to the right till you reach the edge. Then do a quick double-jump to just barely make it up on the next rock



From here-on-out, it's just hopping on the crystals and rocks to make it to the top. No real clear path to take, but you should be able to eye-ball your way up there







Finally, once you reach the top, your chest will be waiting for you!




This one's on the side of the big rock, and it's also easy to reach!



The chest is located around the main rock formation here. You can easily reach it by taking the jump pad to the top and falling down to the chest here




This one's easy to get to



Just jump up here lmao

Just a few notes to leave here which should help you on your journey to collecting your free chests

• As previously stated, no movement upgrades are required at all. You can reach every single one of these chests without them. Trust me, i did it
  
  
• Don't want to spend the time to go out looking for a chest only to realize that it did not spawn there? There's a very handy trick that can help you determine whether a hidden chest has spawned in the island. You can only do this after clearing the island, and it's advisable to do this after collecting your desired upgrades from your chest. You basically just wanna press "q". Normally, this would automatically open all upgrade chests and pick a completely random upgrade. BUT, this doesn't automatically pick up the hidden chest, it will only open it. Doing this will make the chest play that opening sound, which can be heard from quite a distance away, making it a pretty effective indicator on whether or not you have a hidden chest on your current island. This will surely save a bit of time off your runs!
  
  
• To gain the maximum amount of height when jumping to reach hard places, you wanna double-tap your jump button as quickly as possible. It's better for height gain than waiting till your at the peak of your first jump before then double-jumping

And that hopefully should be it! Note that this list is not final and may change with each update as new islands are added (or altered). Additionally, finding these locations is a time-consuming and very rng-based endeavor, simply because you never know whether a chest can appear on an island somewhere until you see it. Because of this, there may be random chest locations that are not shown on this guide

If you happen to find any, please let me know so i can keep on the look-out for them in my future runs! I want to avoid posting new locations until i can get proof that a random chest does indeed spawn in a location. This, unfortunately, means that this is a slow and grindy process, but i think it's worth it for everyone who likes to explore the islands and get something out of it!
