To fix the problem with the PS4 and Xbox controllers, at first your joystick may go "crazy" in the game and start touching all the inputs, I leave you my experience and how I solved it:

1- Steam Settings/Parameters

2- Go to the Control section

3- Apply this configuration

Once this is done, restart the game, and it should work correctly, enjoy this amazing game!

Doesn't work, it keeps going crazy.

That makes it use Xbox icons. I know it *has* PlayStation button icons, it shows them if I turn steam input off with my DualShock 4 connected but then it doesn't accept any inputs at all.
