Why?
I am a huge fantasy fan, my favorite race being the elves. I got into the Warhammer fantasy setting with this game and I love it’s take on the race. However, I noticed a major issue, in my opinion, all elven races are technologically outclassed by most other races in the Warhammer world. How could the “wisest and fairest of all beings” be so outgunned by their long time rivals, the dwarfs, and even the lowly humans? I aimed to fix this using this mod and a fair amount of lore heresy (not sorry).
But on a serious note, I just wanted to give the elves some gunpowder filled goodness, this is not meant to entirely shake up the gameplay for the High Elves, Wood Elves, and Dark Elves as I still want magic and archery to be their main ranged damage sources (balancing changes may be frequent), but it is definitely clear that the Bolt Throwers are not cutting it in the artillery department.

The Elven Artillery
The 4 pieces that come with this mod are pretty much one for one ports of the Cathayan Fire Rain Rocket Battery and the Grand Cannon on the technical side of things, I didn’t really change any of the damage values but I may change cost and construction time with more user input.

Treemen
Now have the Cygor boulder attack but with the damage and building damage multiplier slightly increased. I did not change any of their economic values.

Phoenix Cannon
Tier IV

Cost -1100

Light Rain Rocket Battery

Upkeep - 300
Construction Time - 2 Turns

Dread Cannon
Tier IV
Constructed at Beastmaster's Stables
Cost -1100
Upkeep - 300
Construction Time - 2 Turns
Lore Description: “This abomination of engineering and affront to the beautiful crafts of the Asur is a favored weapon among the Black Ark reavers of the east.”

Death Rain Rocket Battery
Tier IV
Constructed at Beastmaster's Stables
Cost -1100
Upkeep - 300
Construction Time - 2 Turns
Lore Description: “Battery designed by the eastern slaves held by the Druchii, now outfitted with even deadlier rockets to cause the most suffering to any within its reach.”

Known Issues
- None as of now.

Compatibility
- SFO or Radious?
I don't have plans to make any of my mods compatible with overhauls like SFO at this time because I simply don't play with them. However, anyone that would like to make compatibility mods or patches have my blessing, just please credit me and include a link to this mod.

Cheers!

@DuskFae Where are they in the Colonies? The artillery building in the Colonies for me only shows the non-mod units. Thanks!

@DuskFae: I'll look into it then.

@Master Confounder Went and did some checking, No way to recruit them off the Dragonships since they use a different 'forge' structure. But big A can still get them off of his Colonies.

also instead of tank, I would recommend armored car like M8 Greyhound or TD like M18 Hellcat. Both Example is very fast and mobile in WW2

given elven ear is more sensitive, did all of them when deaf?

@Everyone: Updated for 7.0! I haven't bought the DLC yet so let me know if Aislinn can't recruit the artillery!

@fatpancake23: I am taking an extended vacation from modding and I have only came back for the moment to fix the mods. I have thought about adding tanks but I need some time away from Total War before I get back to modding.

@Maximus: I would probably do that whenever I make a more militaristic reskin for the Wood Elves but we'll see.

P.S. A lot of cope in these comments:WH3_skragHapp:

you think you could add war machines as well? maybe something like an imperial steam tank except more lightweight and stealthy?
Maximus 29 okt @ 14:41
Hello Master Confounder, thanks for the mod. Can you add some rustic and culture specific artillery pieces for the Wood Elves? Even some small ballista and catapults. Thanks.

Like the units, however I do not like how this mod effects the Treeman for the wood elves.

The animation does not fit the unit and it looks like throwing javelin instead of a huge rock, you could make a new Tree unit that uses the Cygor boulder tossing animation that the Beastmen faction have

"How could the “wisest and fairest of all beings” be so outgunned by their long time rivals, the dwarfs, and even the lowly humans?" - may be cuz "mighty and wise" just don't think they need these smelly dusted fire-blowing things? Cool engines anyway, shoots loud and deadly
