the one you fight higan in is better can legit 1 turn it if high move/ and not bad power

I might have forgotten some details, but yes, I believe you unlock auto-battle around Chapter 7. This trick worked for me because I was watching anime while leveling up, so I didn’t really have to watch the screen. It was an easy way to level up, and I just kept using auto-battle.

The cheat shop is also a great method for leveling up. If you need any tips, feel free to ask. I haven’t played in a while, so I might be a bit rusty, but I did manage to beat Baal. If you need help with skills or anything else, let me know, and I’ll do my best to help.

Don't you unlock this like halfway through the game, like past chapter 7?

Would be easier to find the cheat-shop, set the difficulty to level 16 and go grind level 4-2 on level 99 enemies that gives x3 times exp, which is way better and easier.

Later in the game, there are much better ways to level up. This is only good for starting out if you're under-leveled and are having a hard time with some of the starting battles.
