Delete Steam Cloud Saves
You may have noticed that Steam only allows you to enable/disable cloud saves, and doesn't offer an actual way to delete the files that are uploaded to its database. Fortunately, GMMan[github.com]created an application that allows you to do exactly that, called Steam Cloud File Manager Lite.

To download it:

1. Click here[github.com]to go to Steam Cloud File Manager Lite's github page
2. Under the Assets tab, click the Release.zip file and save it
3. Once downloaded, extract it, and open the folder

To use it (make sure the game isn't updating or running):

1. Open SteamCloudFileManager (gray cloud icon)
2. Enter 20920 (Witcher 2 Steam ID) in the AppID field and click Connect
3. Select all of the save files you wish to delete (make sure to also select the corresponding .bmp file) - you can select specific ones using Ctrl+click or several in a row/all files using Shift+click
4. Click Delete and confirm it
5. Once complete, click Refresh to make sure the save files are gone

If there's any issues, make sure the game/cloud isn't updating and try again. You can double check the steam cloud folder by navigating to C:\Program Files\(x86)\Steam\userdata\*USERID*\20920\remote
(*USERID* = your Steam user ID, which is usually about 9 digits)

Note: You can use the above steps for any game that has Steam Cloud data. Just swap out the AppID (AKA Steam ID), which you can find by going to the game's store page, and checking the URL. The numbers at the end are what you need.
Revert to Local Save Files
(Make sure you've followed the above steps and have no saves files in the Steam Cloud, otherwise the following may not work)

Boot up the game, go to Options, and click both Enable Steam Cloud and Disable Steam Cloud a few times, being sure to select no each time it prompts you to save your files to the cloud. If you have local save files (located in Documents\Witcher 2\gamesaves , they should be showing up now, and in the correct order. If not, reboot the game and double check that you've followed the instructions correctly.

Note: I'd recommend keeping the cloud disabled for Witcher 2, as it seems to have a lot of issues- as I'm sure you already know since you're looking at this guide ;). To turn off cloud saves for Witcher 2 (or any game) specifically: find it in your library, right click it, select properties, go to the General tab, and uncheck "Keep game saves in the Steam cloud."
Thank you!
