1980-1986 Takeda Austin Slate 4x4

The Takeda Austin is a long-running large SUV model based off of the N-Series lineup. In 1980, the Austin was updated considerably in appearance alongside the N-Series pickup range. Interiors were updated to be more ergonomic and the body was tested in a wind tunnel to improve efficiency (slightly). Light duty trucks utilized a twin-i beam suspension system in the front, while the heavier duty models retained a straight axle. The Austin retained its removable hard roof shell over the rear section.

This is a half-ton 4-door SUV chassis with four-wheel-drive and the top-end Slate option package.
