Accompanying the Sleepers were equally-weird Mechanocrystalline descendants: the Thunderbirds. They are obviously closely related to the Sleepers, although most likely not to the point in which they're the same species.

The story of the Zemplix could continue even more... forever, really. If we were to travel a billion years into the future, and check on the Zemplix then, would we even be able to recognize them as such? Not that we really can recognize them as Zemplix right now, just 25 million years in the future...
