The first essential step to making a map is your start, and your endpoint. How will anyone know where to go if there's not a clearly defined start & end? Always place the endpoint far away from the start, though, as it would be too easy if they were close. This illustration shows the start & and end, with the circle being the start, and the twitter being the end.

Step 2 is to add decorations and a path. trust me, even if they don't align with real life, they'll really spice up your map. Just make sure to make the real life obstacles clear. We then need to add a path, so really try to weave around your decorations and real life obstacles; we need to make this as confusing as possible. See the illustration.

Step 3 is the second to last step. Here we need to add our finishing touches, such as detail, words, and a compass. As this section doesn't require much commentary, i'll just let you see the finished drawing.

Your final step is to bury your treasure, of course! You first need to find something to hold your treasure, preferably airtight. You then need to find adequate treasure. As an expert map maker, some things I recommend are:

• Solid gold coins
  
• Chocolate coins
  
• 20 dollar bills
  
• Marbles
