Washington D.Z.

Washington D.Z. is a total conversion set in a post-apocalyptic Washington D.C. in which humans and zombies are pitted against each other for control of the city and for survival.



D.Z. is heavily WIP and currently serves as a proof of concept created during the two weeks of the community Modathon(More information and Discord link below). The mod will be developed after the voting period concludes. It will be fleshed out and refined to more fully complete our vision.

We would love to hear ideas from the community, feedback about balance or design, but most importantly PLEASE be sure to report any bugs/weird behavior you find in the discussion thread below.

• Custom, detailed map centered on Washington D.C. with nearly 2000 provinces
  
• Play as remnants of the US government, survivor groups, or as the Undead.
  
• Custom mechanics for Zombies. Devastation has been repurposed to Infestation, while humans suffer from destruction and death, zombies must use it as their primary source of power.
  
• Total War! Peace and diplomacy between the living and the dead would be silly wouldn't it? Wars only occur with zombies you border but they are to the death and provinces are instantly transferred.
  
• Buildings with unique mechanics aimed at creating or fighting the devastation brought on by the dead.
  
• Custom Events
  
• ~60 Tags (Many are generic right now)

• Expansive Mission Trees for tags
  
• In depth government reforms unique to each type of government.
  
• Overhaul of vanilla features such as Ages, Estates, Advisors, Ideas and more.
  
• A complete map of the entirety of D.C. itself, and possibly beyond.
  
• Various events, decisions, and other flavor related content.
  
• Great Projects with unique mechanics. It's D.C. after all, there's a monument on just about every corner.
  
• Unique Zombie mechanics such as variant (spitter, tank) units and dynamic horde spawning.

If you can name a vanilla mechanic, you can be sure it will be repurposed, reskinned, or otherwise made an immersive and cohesive part of Washington D.Z.
