STEAM GAMES WITH SERVER-SIDE ACHIEVEMENTS (UNHACKABLE STEAM ACHIEVEMENTS)

!!! DISCLAIMER: THIS GUIDE DOESN'T TEACH OR PROMOTE HACKING ACHIEVEMENTS! EVERYTHING SHOWN HERE IS ONLY AND ONLY FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES !!!

Here all the games I could find / encountered / found randomly that have unhackable Steam Achievements, i.e. Steam Achievements with server-side achievements. What does this mean? This means, a game linked its Achievements to its server, so apps, softwares like SAM (Steam Achievement Manager) can't unlock them, because they are based on the server of that game. Meaning, when you unlock an achievement, it doesn't unlock it from the game's files like Steam Achievements work, it unlocks it on their server first, then the server sends command to unlock it on your PC, i.e. on Steam.

These are certainly not all of them, so if you find any game that I missed, feel free to let me know about them, and I will add them to my guide.

HOW TO & LEADERBOARD

UPDATES

[20.08.2025] Now you may see [+], [-], [?], [N/A] before game titles. I made these to make it easier to sort out which games can be 100% completed, and which can't be:
[+] The game has server-side/protected Achievements, and they are obtainable.
[-] The game has server-side/protected Achievements, buy they aren't obtainable anymore or the servers are down.
[N/A] The game used to have server-side/protected Achievements, but now they aren't server-side/protected or the Achievements were removed.
[?] No information.

HOW TO CHECK A GAME FOR SERVER-SIDE / PROTECTED ACHIEVEMENTS?

Method 1: if you used Steam Achievement Manager (in short, SAM), you already know how it works then. If background of the Achievement is red, then it is server-side, if black, then it is a standard achievement;
Method 2: Rejedai developed a program[github.com] that scans your entire Library for server-side / protected Achievements, and gives you a list of them. But keep in mind that this tool is for developers, you need Python to run it. I personally haven't used this tool, so If you have any questions you can write to Issues on GitHub, or ask Rejedai directly.

EDIT (22.02.2025): If you want to 100% this game, don't buy it! Ubisoft broke game files after update a few years ago, and now Kenway's Fleet is not working for 99% of the players (maybe even 100%). The only way to fix it, people say, is to download a mod that replaces exe file of the game with previous one, but I haven't tested that mod myself, so can't tell how true is that.

NOTE: don't buy this game if you want 100% Achievements. "The Lost Archive" DLC was delisted a year ago, but Ubisoft forgot to remove 10 related achievements, which are unobtainable. You could try download someone else's save file, some say, it works. Personally, it didn't work form, even after using AC Save Tool, so I just gave up on those achievements and hope Ubisoft will remove them, they already removed online achievements.
EDIT (31.01.2025): a year ago Ubisoft removed online achievements due to the fact they shut down the servers for this game. By removing online files, the already buggy game became more buggy, which makes Desmond's Journey levels stuck on black screen. If you also having this issue, either check this guide, or in short, follow these steps:
1. Open Steam Console by pressing Windows + R, then paste in the search bar this: steam://nav/console;
2. Copy and paste this into the Console: download_depot 201870 201871 3788743185036498953. It is approximately 8 GB, so it will take a while. As confirmation you will get this message: Depot download complete : <download folder location>;
3. After the download copy the address and paste into address bar in any your folders. This will take you to the downloaded files location. Copy all files, then paste them into game's folder: RMB on the game name, Properties... → Installed Files → Browse.... Overwrite anything, if needed;
4. If you don't have The Lost Archive DLC, skip Step 4. Copy and paste this into Steam Console: download_depot 201870 201882 6947412385247558407, again wait for the confirmation, then do Step 3 again (copy the files into game folder);
5. Remove systemdetection.dll;
6. RMB on the game name, Properties... → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files.

Even after writing there, I still haven't gotten a reply from the devs.

EDIT (13.04.2023): Achievement "Unstoppable" is broken, I literally have got 10 quad kills, but it hasn't still popped up / unlocked. I already sent e-mail to support hopefully they fix it. Whilst surfing for the solution of this achievement (at first I thought I weren't getting it, so I tried and actually got it in 10 different game modes, yet it still didn't work), I heard that other people are having problems with other achievements, such as "Killing Spree". Also, they say "1047" isn't unlocked when you have 1,047 wins, but 1,080+.
EDIT (31.01.2025): after writing to the devs 3 times, they finally unlocked broken achievements for me. Yeah, it took them 3 operators, but that is a good sign that they at least care about their players.

Because, not all games were tested. I don't own all of the games, so I try them one by one, if anyone can confirm if the Achievements are unlockable, I will gladly change those indicators.

Dropzone has "Thanks for the heads up, Rejedai!" text, might be something with your Steam not showing UI properly.
