Same information is also found the the "official" ROTT FAQ, which was not written by 3DRealms, but has been hosted on their site for decades:
https://legacy.3drealms.com/faq/rottfaq30.txt [cf. Section 3-7]
Interestingly enough, the whole section about bonusses is missing in many other versions. Here is what I found out by now:
- It is not included in version 1.2 of the game
- It was included in the official diskette version of version 1.3 - this is where I took above screenshot from
- It is not included in versions 1.3 that are still distributed nowadays (site CD version 1.3 that was part of the 3DR Anthology, was sold at 3drealms.com and can be bought here at Steam)
Maybe that bonus can only be obtained in the DARK WAR campaign?
- The curiosity bonus requires all switches to have been interacted with at least once, regardless of their effect; this includes both ends of each elevator.
- Democrat bonus 2 is rendered much harder to achieve by the random powerup, as the game only checks if you collected *exactly* the number of health basins and shrooms powerups that existed at level start, so if you get shrooms from a random powerup, you will have to collect one fewer of the existing shrooms and health basins to obtain the bonus.
