n°1: when you're stuck, take a screenshot and paste it into Paint. It's easier to solve seemingly complex puzzles by drawing directly on the puzzle image, rather than stubbornly working on the puzzle itself in-game.

n°2: Some zone entrances are blocked by rather complex puzzles with a rule you haven't encountered until now. It's advisable to leave them for later and continue exploring the island, as most areas serve as a tutorial preparing you for particular rules.

n°3: You can see the progress of the number of puzzles and environmental puzzles completed, as well as the number of obelisks completed, by consulting the save files by pressing "Esc" then "Load game" and consulting the save at the top.

n°4: The game automatically creates a new save file every 60 points. A point is awarded when :

• You solve a puzzle
  
• Solve an environmental puzzle
  
• You complete an obelisk

Just add up the numbers that appear after "Resolution:" when you consult your save files to see how close you are to creating a save.

n°5: The special thing about the lake is that it's actually a representation of the island itself!



What's more, it allows you to follow your progress in real time as you search for the various items hidden on the island. Each object in the lake corresponds to an element to be found on the island:

Triangular leaves: triangle puzzles



Lotus: audio logs (white: above ground - orange: in caves)




Shells beneath the surface: theatre layouts



Geysers: obelisks

As soon as an environmental puzzle is completed, it is displayed on an obelisk. In the lake, the corresponding geyser is activated and a little water comes out. Once the obelisk is fully completed, the water jet reaches a definitive height.

The lady of the lake rises from the bottom of the water as you resolve to glorify your success...

Rule n°1: colored squares

White, black, yellow, blue... Colored squares are positioned on the puzzle. The rule is to separate them by color group using the line and edges of the panel.

Rule 2: Hexagons
Small hexagons are located in the puzzle lines. You must therefore pass over all these hexagons. Some puzzles feature colored hexagons that must be picked up with the same-colored line.


Rule n°3: Symmetry
There are 2 possible access points to the puzzle. By choosing one and tracing it, the other will be drawn to match symmetrically. Symmetry can be axial or central.

Rule n°4: Trace
A hidden trace indicates the correct layout for solving the puzzle. This trace is revealed depending on the angle from which it is viewed, and on the light source.


Rule n°5: Shadows on squares
Shadows are positioned totally, partially or next to the puzzle. These shadows are placed on the puzzle squares and cut certain lines. The rule is to find the path that doesn't pass over any shadows.

This is the reverse of rule 3. A shadow positioned on the puzzle allows you to draw the correct line of the puzzle. Follow these shadows to the finish.

Rule n°7: Mazes
4 small labyrinths in the fort area, each with its own rule. You have to find the right path according to these rules and reproduce it on the exit door puzzle.

Maze n°1: All roads are blocked. Only one path is possible.

Maze n°2: Grass has grown in some places in the labyrinth. There is only one way through without encountering any weeds.

maze n°3: You'll have to listen carefully. Some passages emit a gravelly sound when you step on them. Only one path will allow you to cross the labyrinth without making any sound.

maze n°4: Unlike its predecessors, the puzzle does not correspond to the labyrinth, with the exception of a single common path. This is the one you'll have to draw.


Rule 8: Yellow squares
Patterns consisting of one or more yellow squares are placed in certain squares of the puzzle. Each square in the pattern corresponds to a square in the puzzle. The rule is to create areas enclosing these patterns using the puzzle's edge and the line you draw, and these areas must match these shapes perfectly.
Two things you need to know:
- Zones can be joined or not, i.e. a unique large zone can be formed as long as the shapes are present inside and fit together perfectly. (cf. image with multiple shapes)
- Some puzzles feature inclined patterns. This means that the shape of the area concerned can be rotated (no symmetry, just rotation...).


Rule 9: Blue squares
These are associated with the yellow squares. The shape of the blue pattern must be erased from the yellow pattern. Example:


Rule 10: Stars
Stars must be paired in an area with a pattern of the same color (another star, for example, but also a square or anything else). They can't be alone in a zone or with two or more same-colored pattern.
You can have several stars in the same zone if they are of different colors.

One or more triangles can be found in one or more squares of the puzzle. The rule is that the line must pass through as many sides as there are triangles in the square.

Rule 13: Sound puzzle
Sounds are emitted in the environment around each puzzle, with different tones. The rule is to match the tone of the sound to the layout of the puzzle.
There are two types:

- The first is "honeycomb"-shaped. Each section corresponds to 3 tones, with the upper part for the highest sounds and vice versa.
- The second is in the format of a classic puzzle. It contains small hexagons of varying sizes. Small hexagons for high-pitched sounds, medium hexagons for intermediate sounds, large hexagons for low-pitched sounds.
So you have to go through all the hexagons in the right order according to the sounds you hear.


Rule 14: The environment
The rest of the puzzles have no clues or rules on the puzzle surface. You'll have to keep your eyes open and look for similarities with elements in the environment around the puzzle to find the correct layout.

Please note that if you fail a puzzle, some will have their screen turn black. Simply go back to the previous panel you did successfully and redo it, you'll be able to reactivate the blackened panel.


To conclude with these rules, it should be noted that the puzzles become increasingly complex as you explore the island, and some puzzles contain several rules. It's up to you to find the right path based on your understanding. Once again, don't hesitate to use Paint. It really helped me during my first exploration of the island.

This spoiler deals with an anomaly in the game counting that happen in late game zone.

* The challenge consists of 14 puzzles to be completed from start to finish within a given time. However, completing the challenge counts not 14 puzzles, but 21.

In fact, in the possible/impossible panels section, the game counts 2 panels solved for the 2 puzzles successfully completed, out of a total of 6 panels. If you miss the challenge, and are lucky enough for the possible puzzle to appear on a different panel from the last time, the game will count you an extra resolution.

In the end, the game grants you all the unsolved panels at the end of the challenge.
This brings us to 14 + 4 (the unresolved ones) = 18.

The 3 missing points are simply the clock panels that are resolved when they stop at the end of the challenge.

This brings us to 18 + 3 = 21 resolutions for 14 puzzles actually solved.

THE CHALLENGE

As all the puzzles are randomly generated for every run you do, the next resolutions won't be of any use to you. Nevertheless, I will provide you with an explanation for each challenge.

To begin with, you need to know that the challenge can only be completed if you finish all the puzzles in the allotted time. There are two indicators letting you know how much time remains to complete the challenge:

[The first one is the music that starts when you begin. Two classic pieces of music are played, and all the puzzles disappear when the second piece of music ends.
• The second is the clock with 3 panels of "unsolvable" puzzles. The way it works is a bit complex and I'll leave it to you to check out this reddit post which explains in detail how it works :

part 1 :



These are 3 fairly basic panels that you should be able to solve without any problem.


part 2 :



This puzzle is also relatively easy to solve, but there is a subtlety. It's actually the maze map from part 5 of the challenge. The maze puzzles will be in the same place as the hexagons on the puzzle from part 2 (example above). The cut-outs in the puzzle also represent barriers that will rise in the maze and block the path, so you'll need to follow the path you made in the puzzle to complete the maze.

There are 4 puzzles, each with a specific rule. They activate one after another each time you resolve a puzzle . The puzzle rule and position is random. A rule is not assigned to a particular panel position and the first puzzle can be located anywhere among the 4 panels. It will always be about these 4 rules :

• Shapes + stars
  
• Central symmetry + coloured hexagon
  
• Large labyrinth
  
• Stars + hexagons

Solving the 4th puzzle unlock the fourth part of the challenge.

part 4 :



This part consists of two series (white-black square rule then white-green-pink square rule) of 3 puzzles, two of which are impossible.
You have to find and solve the only possible puzzle to activate those in the second series.
Finding and solving the second series unlocks the fifth part of the challenge.

If a puzzle has this kind of pattern, you automatically know it's impossible because you can't separate the colours.

Part 5 :



As I mentioned earlier, the puzzle in part 2 should save you quite a bit of time if you can memorise the location of the hexagons and the layout to avoid running through the maze like a headless chicken and getting thousands of walls up your nose :)

In the maze, you'll find 2 triangle puzzles embedded in the walls and/or columns. Solve them both and reach the other end of the maze to reach the sixth and final part.


Part 6 :


Last but not least, you have to solve two puzzles on pillars.
These are also randomly generated.

Useful info: on the pillar with the white and black squares, there will always be 3 white squares and 3 black squares. No more, no less. So if you manage to isolate 3 squares of the same colour, there's no need to worry about the rest and complete the layout as you wish.

*One of the longest moments in the game... the eclipse puzzle completed using the theatre lasts just under an hour (55 or 58 minutes I can't remember, tell me in the comments if you have an idea of the exact number). It's impossible to do anything else at the risk of cancelling the layout and having to start all over again. My advice is to set a timer on your phone, leave it running and come back a little before the end...
For the more adventurous, there is a skip that can significantly reduce the time of this puzzle (a few minutes) but a lot of fairly technical preparation is required.

If you have disabled the grid, it is possible to find a hidden blueprint after accessing the hidden area that will allow you to re-enable it and complete the environmental puzzle.

There are a total of 49 audio logs scattered across the island.

There is only one way to track your progress in collecting the audio logs and that way, as explained at the beginning of this guide, is the lake.

The white lotuses are for above-ground audio logs and the yellow lotuses are for underground audio logs. The images below will help you find the ones you need and where they are located.

As I said at the start of the guide, I believe there are 4 goals in this game:

1. Find all the puzzles, environmental puzzles and audio logs in the game. You can see if you have completed everything by checking your game file and the state of the lake.

2. Reaching the "last" area of the game and accessing the first "end" of the game:

This takes you back to the very beginning of the game, restarting every single objective you've ever completed. I've already said this above, but to avoid this and keep track of the puzzle, do it, go straight to the menu and reload your file.

3. Find the developers' hidden area and access the game's second ending.

By solving the environmental puzzle on the grid, the developers' secret area, where you can find several items:

- Audio logs of conversations between the developers about the game's design.
- Artwork showing the concepts for the game's different zones.
- A route that takes you through several viewpoints on the island.
- At the end of the walkthrough, you pass through an unreal zone where you can find part of the developers' offices, where you can see a person lying under a sheet, flowers (no doubt the ones missing from one of the easter eggs you'll find below), a continuation of the scene of the man who tried to reach the chalice and ended up falling in his attempt, and a door that shows you an (unseen) scene filmed by a developer.

This scene lets us know that our exploration was in fact a simulation from which he wakes up. He struggles to emerge, looking weak and disorientated. He tries to regain his senses by wandering around the studio. At the end of the scene, the game closes on its own.

4.Find the secret zone.

Dozens of puzzles not used in the development of the island are scattered around this area. There's also the Challenge zone.

The island has been filled with dozens of easter eggs scattered and hidden all over the island by the developers - some "did you notice?", as they say themselves.

To round off this relaxing guide, here are all the visual easter eggs I found. I had a great time poking around and looking in every nook and cranny to see what this island had to offer.

White flowers, often unique in number and quite distinct from the other flowers that decorate the whole island, are planted here and there in the various areas. I'm sure there is at least one in each area. Unfortunately, I haven't managed to find them all. Maybe I'm just imagining things and there aren't any more, but here are all the ones I managed to find!

There are several of these in the shape of a cross to represent the wings of the windmill.
