Im currently running a RTX 4080 / 10900K system.

Stuttering and crashing happens when using the high and very high texture settings. These use GPU decompression to decompress assets instead of the CPU. You would think this would improve performance, however this is clearly not the case.

In order to disable it, navigate over to your game folder and delete "dstorage.dll" and "dstoragecore.dll". This will disable direct storage, you can always restore these files later.

My CPU usage increased slightly however GPU performance has been greatly increased, with absolutely no frame time spikes. No observable impact to loading either, I played the portal sequence just fine with next to no difference in loading speed.

Actually im running the game with everything maxed out, even ray tracing with all options enabled The real issue, I think is that the game engine doesnt work well with an unlocked framerate, so you should try limiting it to 75 or 60 FPS. Also, use dlss on Quality, dlaa for anti-aliasing, and keep frame generation on. For reference, I’m using an rtx 4070 Super with an i5-14600KF, without any overclock

mine keeps crashing after you go through the teleport after fixing the fixer i've done what the tweet said to do and it's fixed nothing my Specs can run it no problem but it won't stop crashing

This caused my game to run literally night and day better. Why would that one thing cause such a significant performance decrease??

Wow. got this on the sale having beat it on PS5 and could feel the CONSTANT stuttering instantly on my 7700xt. Deleting those two files removed the stutter and took me from 55 fps with RT on to 90 to 100 lmao. Devs please disable that garbage by default and have it as an option in the launcher instead, i was about to refund and this was my last attempt at getting the game smooth.

hello, I have done all the updates on my side on the drivers (I have a 7900 xtx) and impossible to play, my game instantly crashes as soon as the game is launched

I can't even play it for 2 minutes, someone has an explanation please

bonjour, j'ai fais toutes les mis a jour de mon coté sur les pilotes ( j'ai une 7900 xtx ) et impossible de jouer, mon jeu crash instant des que le jeu est lancé

je peux même pas y jouer 2 min, quelqu'un aurait une explication svp
