-- HOW TO INSTALL FIX --

1) Use Winrar or a Zip extractor to extract the folder.

2) Next, right click on the file, go to rename then add .exe to the end of AC4BFSP so it should look like this AC4BFSP.exe (the file icon should change to the AC4 Logo)

3) Simply copy and paste the newly renamed AC4BFSP.exe into the main install folder of the game and override the "old" .exe file.

Now that the "auto updates" are disabled and the .exe file is in place, start the game up and enjoy.

When you say "fix", are you speaking about the black areas on either side when playing on ultr-widescreen displays? If not, does anyone know if there is anything that can be done about this issue? It is an older game, so I would understand if there is nothing that can be done, but it is basically wasting half of my 5120 x 1440 screen at the moment.

i don't know if i've done a step wrong or not but it doesn't seem to work as of 28/11/24 i renamed the file and downloaded the mod and it's still stuck in the loading screen ;(

@ Johnson / author: Is there any changelog for the newest update? and overall speaking, if you already had the time to test it again, is the latest version -identical- to old one (before the nasty patch) ? What was Ubisoft trying to do? why did they update it in the first place?
