A Mysterious Stranger may help you in time of need.


Details
  • This is a trait.
  • Trait cost is +4 by default, configurable via sandbox options.
  • When you are attacked by a zombie, your guardian angel has a chance to shoot it.
  • Chances is 100% by default, configurable via sandbox options.
  • Once your guardian angel has shot an enemy, there is a delay before it occures again.
  • Delay is 24 hours by default, configurable via sandbox options.
  • Remaining time to wait for the recharge can be visualised from character trait tooltip.
  • Mysterious Stranger shot does not attract zombies.
  • Can be added to / removed from any save.
  • Works in solo and (partially in) multiplayer.
  • Makes the game easier in vanilla by giving you a kind of joker.


Credits
  • Modifying trait cost from sandbox option is a tricky stuff made by the lua (endgame) boss: Albion.

This is my favourite mod. I can't quite place it, but every time I get saved, I picture the mysterious stranger tipping his hat before disappearing from view. Great mod.

So far, shoot the zeds the moment they approach and that waste the shoots on easy kills.
An idea for this is to shoot them the moment the grab or bite animation runs. like negating the bite and killing the zed.

And well, I just realized that I'm using a lot of your mods on my server.

And if I can, an idea for a similar mod would be "fan girl" which does the same thing as this mod but can give you "gifts" periodically. But, that requires a voice actress to read some cute lines when shooting and giving things.

is it possible to make a silhouette appear behind you, or anywhere far? would be a nice addition though im not sure if that's possible with zomboid's engine
