Worked great after some tinkering. What worked for me (using Windows 11 and Nvidia 4080 Super) was adding these files, setting "Windows 7 compatibility" mode and "Run as administrator" for both the game and configuration launcher, opening the DQ Heroes configuration app and setting the resolution to 3840 x 2160, opening the game (let it load and then exit completely, for some reason it didn't pick up the settings on first launch for me, DQ Heroes 2 has the same issue), then opening the game a 2nd time and it was running 4k. I noticed if I mess with settings inside the game, it will reset to the original resolution and I had to start the process over from the configuration app step. The game itself doesn't reflect that it's running in 4k in the settings, at least for me, but the visual difference was pretty huge in-game (and not in opening menus). I also enabled "Smooth Motion" on the Nvidia global settings, and it runs at a steady 120fps at 4k!

I couldn't get this fix to work initially, but then I realized I needed to turn off my second monitor. After I did that, it worked.

with fix use CFF explorer to increase ram more than 2gb .. 4k 3840 x2160 confirm that and not showing resolution in option . ( only on overly monitor )

Got the files, unzipped on the root folder, put my resolution, executed the game, nothing changed

Does this work for 16:10 monitors?

try using Nvidia DSR and in ini set DSR resolution

Would it be possible to make this for Heroes II as well?
I want to supersample heroes 2 but I have a 1440p monitor
