Unlock Fabricator & Mech core

Mô tả
Unlocks food and material fabricators research in all scenarios. Also unlock research for crafting mech core.

Note: You need a new game with this mod enabled for it to work.

Hello i started a game with the mod on but it didn't show the research so tried what you said to do and it work on a new game is it possible to get it to work on my other game i had it on to started with or would i need to start again

Okay, I've cleaned the process up a bit. When you want to start a new game, do a test run with the Trading Outpost scenario. If you can see the Fabricator matrix and Food Fabricator researches, great, go make your intended new game.
If not, from the main menu, go into mod manager, TURN OFF Unlock Fabricator (which is this mod). Go back to main menu. Then go back into the mod manager, TURN ON Unlock Fabricator. Do a test run of Trading Outpost.

It turns out, exiting the game outright isn't necessary. But any time you've started a play session of S:AD with this mod on, if you want to make a new game, you'll probably need to do the above to get this mod to work.
But once you start a game save with this mod working right, then it won't be an issue until the next time you want to make a new campaign.

This mod can be annoying, but it IS working. To test this mod, start up a trading outpost scenario, open technology tree, scroll down, and see if you can see Fabricator matrix and Food Fabricator. If you can't see both, then make sure to do as Krittol says: Turn off mod in the in-game mod manager, exit to menu and then exit the game, restart game, re-enable mod in in-game mod manager, start up a test run of Trade outpost to see if the two technologies are there.

Side note, this mod seems to be a bit wonky with the Mercenary Outpost mod(s), as that scenario mod does also have fabricators and mechs, but if THIS mod isn't loaded correctly, you won't see a research option for Food Fabricator, which all the other Fabricator researches rely on. This is partly a note to myself, since I know I've ran into this issue a couple times, so Future Me can see this and remember to check if this mod is working.

Mod seems to be broken again. It was working two weeks ago. Now it just not give you the research. This started yesterday to my knowledge. I started a new game yesterday, mod was enabled when I started it. No research. Since I was not far into the game, I started a new game making sure to disable and unsubscribed then subscribing, enabling and starting my new run. No research.

Mod works. Must remove mod, exit game, restart and then re-enable mod to make it work when starting a new game.

Not sure why some folks are claiming this mod isn't working, but it is for me. I did a test run of a Crash Landing on Sobrius, and a Trading Outpost on Desertum. Both times, Mech and Fabricator core research was available. Then I turned this mod off, and after a game restart (seems like it needs to load up fresh for some mod effects to stop taking place), the research then wasn't active.

This mod is working fine. And there's been no update to this mod since it was posted.
