Using motion trackers to win the game
由 Bubbanator 制作
This is a pretty straightforward strategy. You simply need to be on a map with a car (or have sentries if you are not).

The Deets
So the first method involves exploiting the carrier's infinite ammo cannons.
Simply park the car near where your squad is and put down as many motion trackers as you like. Any Aliens start getting close, set one off and they'll run headfirst to their doom. Since motion trackers aren't a finite resource, you can do this as long as you need.
If you lack a vehicle on the level you are on, you can replicate this with sentries if needed.
(I recommend giving them a flare to help with accuracy from time to time)
Make sure wherever you put them cannot be flanked by aliens, or they will be quickly destroyed.
The End
If any of the more stealthy sections are giving you trouble, just remember that both the turrets and car do not cause a hunt when shooting Aliens.....
Good luck and I hope this strategy helps you out.

Motion Trackers are overpowered. They should be limited like Sentries but can be charged with command points so you can charge a Motion Tracker with 5 activations if you want to wait and camp.

I thought of this for farming but... I like having 100% map awareness.
I place Motion Trackers all over the place.

It's funny how much I forget motion trackers are a thing to my own detriment. This is my first squad-based shooter, so even basic strategies beyond hiding, resource management, and turrent/suppressing fire placement are still coming to me. I honestly didn't realize the motion trackers would have range like that, I figured they were more localized, so I was just using them to draw hoards into my sentries. Thanks for the info! <3

If you want to kill them, yes, drop motion trackers to the dead zone with 5 turrets or next to ARC. But they respawn, especially on nightmare literally you can run into next one in 5 seconds.
What i like to do i drop motion trackers somewhere on the edge of the map, especially in tunnels, undergreound marlow labs, since they literally run to check the audio game DOESNT SPAWN MORE, unless you DIDNT KILL them. SO they there are, stacked up edge of the map, everyone gathered , listening to beatiful audio of motion tracker one after another.
And game doesnt give you more because spawn limit is full. you can sprint through map. (somtimes they run into themself and glitching, cos of disrupt walking pattern of every single one, they can't go back because of tight places and broken pattern of walking

Stay frost morines, Watch that stress squad :neversaydie:

This is a great way to farm xenosamples, but personally I find it's more beneficial to lure the xenos to an opposite corner of the map than you where you need your Marines to go WITHOUT killing them.

Because they infinitely respawn, if you just kill all the aliens on the map you risk more aliens spawning closer to your Marines.

this is absolutely not only a viable tactic for when you need to cross the map unmolested, but it is also 100% a strategy that the colonial marines would take advantage of in-universe. the only con is the wealth of xp your marines pass up.

Let's use your own logic against you, if you don't like the tactic, then don't use it?

What's fun for you isn't per se what other people think is fun.
cccio 2023 年 7 月 3 日 下午 3:33
doing this you simply remove the fun from the game. So, why you should do it? if you dont like the game just dont play it. or am i missing something?

I did a mission with all my squad having the perk that gives more command points and having a officer to have it regen faster. Used only motion trackers. I'd put enough around my APC and in areas I can easily lure them away safely complete what I need to do. Its a solid strategy I also like to mine the areas the APC isn't at. I also put them in front of hive entrances.

Yeah sentries dont trigger hive, nor do mines and other "not directly from marine" weapons.. So mine corridors, sentry chokepoints etc. are all valid tactics to empty the map before making dashes for objectives.
Btw you can create a choke point room from almost any room and corridor. AI avoids flames and autopaths around them. Set your sentries and motion trackers towards your desired killzone, trigger them and use a flamer to repeatedly spread the flame to block doorways you want to keep "shut".
