It is STRONGLY recommended to disable vehicle damage when using this vehicle, as the new tracks are a bit wack and might result in the train exploding.

You will need to spawn this vehicle with the add-on editor or a modded workbench.

The two railcars in this build are semi-permanently coupled, meaning that they should not be disconnected frequently, but the red, white, and blue striped ends can be freely coupled and uncoupled with other striped ends.

This vehicle is StormLink compatible, but not compatible with other Engineers of Stormworks (EOS) WabSim and Engine Slave Systems 2.0 equipped locomotives.

The fifth order of railcars for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), better known as the Washington Metro, included 192 railcars from a joint venture between Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarilles (CAF) of Spain and AAI Corporation of Maryland, USA. The CAF 5000-series included new three-phase AC traction motors, LED destination signs on both the interior and exterior, intercar safety barriers, an onboard diagnostics computer, and railcar monitoring systems, but was ultimately plagued by software issues. At one point, the WMATA even attempted to penalize CAF for the service entry delays that their flaws had caused. Unlike the 2000 and 3000 series, the 5000 series was eventually retired instead of being rehabbed due to its numerous issues, and a new order of Kawasaki 7000-series railcars was placed to replace them in 2015.

1. To prepare each railcar for operation, first enter the cab in each car. Toggle the "DISTRIBUTION RELAY" and "THIRD RAIL COLLECTOR" switches on the right of the cab seat.
   
2. Enter the cab of the car which you want to be the leading end of the train. On the control desk in front of you, toggle the "CAR ON/OFF" switch to the left of the throttle lever.
   
3. Use the throttle lever to move the train. Any value above 0.1 will increase the throttle, and any value below 0 will apply the brakes. Putting the throttle between 0.1 and 0 will put the train in neutral. Sometimes the train may fail to move; just flip the "CAR ON/OFF" switch off and back on again.

To add more couples to the train, it's recommended to switch everything except the "DISTRIBUTION RELAY" and "THIRD RAIL COLLECTOR" switches off first, including setting the line color on the monitors to blank.
