An awesome person, B.E.L.C, reached out to me because they acquired a prototype Demoman NECA figure and wanted to share it with others who love TF2

Another contribution by B.E.L.C is this Funko Pop prototype Medic. There are 9 prototypes, some colored and some uncolored for each character that is released. They do this to test out the colors to determine what looks best for the product.

B.E.L.C made us aware of these items and ThePurpAbyss did a ton of great research to try and figure out the origin of these items... "-The Spy plush was allegedly created in April 14, 2006 and was requested by a person who went by the nickname of "Imp", however, even now I find it difficult to believe the production date as if it was true, it predates the release of the game itself. -According to the tag that came with the Spy plush, there were about 1020 units made. -Also according to the tag and the Ebay listing, all three plush toys were created by DJ Plush Toys, and at least the Heavy and Pyro were commissioned by a company called "The IP Factory." -The IP Factory was the former name of the company Gaming Heads, who are the people responsible fore the 1/4 scale Team Fortress and Left 4 Dead statues. -This article more or less confirms that The IP Factory and Gaming Heads are one and the same: https://www.teamfortress.com/post.php?id=3772 -From what I know, only the Spy plush contains a wire skeleton within to let you pose the plush in similar fashion to the NECA plush toys. -The Pyro plush has been seen multiple times before at the Valve HQ, but the Heavy and Spy are missing. -Both the Heavy and Pyro plush have a functional zipper at the back, which was likely made for a voice box, but it was never implemented. -As the screenshot shows, they are very expensive, but at the time of posting, the Heavy and the Pyro are still available, so if you truly want a rare piece of prototype Team Fortress history, now's the time!
