weld edges into faces


this is a good tool its loop cut but only for one side

for example you select one of the edges and then duplicate it and move it on x axis

after that you select everytthing and press CRTL+F

choose weld edges into faces from the menu


now the edge is part of your mesh

you have 2 face on one side to extrude one of them press ALT+E+ 4 or choose extrude manifold from menu
this is a different way to extrude from the simple E kay
this is good for when you want to work on only on one side
