Desert Eagle from L4D2 (Revolver)

Custom animation suite replacing the revolver with the Desert Eagle from L4D2. It's almost the same model from csgo but this one is more blue shiny and features a flashlight so it kinda looks like opposing forces deagle kinda kinda not really.

This addon is for base Black Mesa.
Loading a save from before this addon was downloaded might not work properly.
Multiplayer has not been tested with this addon.

L4D2DesertEagle.vpk: This file contains the models (viewmodel, worldmodel [SP, MP]), materials, textures, and all sound effects aside from gunshots for this addon.
L4D2DesertEagleGunshots.vpk: This file contains the gunshot sound effects for this addon.
L4D2DesertEagle.vpk.sound.cache: An auto-generated file that holds audio playback information for sounds in the 'L4D2DesertEagle' package.
L4D2DesertEagleGunshots.vpk.sound.cache: An auto-generated file that holds audio playback information for sounds in the 'L4D2DesertEagleGunshots' package.

If this addon is not working, here are some basic steps that could help. It's best to have the game exited before downloading. You may skip these steps.

• Verify Integrity of Game Files
  
• Check for other addons overlapping.
  
• Unsubscribe and resubscribe to this addon.
  
• Restart Steam.

If the addon continues to not work, you will need to place this addon's files into your game's install directory: here is a tutorial for that.

1. In the Steam library, right-click on Black Mesa, hover over "Manage", and then click "Browse local files".
   
   This will open your Black Mesa install folder, which should be at "steamapps\common\Black Mesa".
   
   
2. Enter the folder "steamapps\common\Black Mesa\bms". Inside of "bms" there should be a folder called "custom" — if it isn't there, create it.
   
   The game reads files and folders from the "custom" folder, so that is where the files must be placed.
   
   
3. Go to "steamapps\workshop\content\362890\2977426490" and then take the files (which are listed at Addon Contents above) and place them into "steamapps\common\Black Mesa\bms\custom".
   
   "362890" is Black Mesa's Steam ID. "2977426490" is this Workshop addon's ID.
   
   
4. Unsubscribe to this addon.
   
   You will not be able to get any future updates to this addon by doing this, and if it updates you will have to repeat these steps. If you do not unsubscribe, Steam will have no idea where the files went so it will try to download them again.

This addon should now show up ingame. If it doesn't work at this point, then I am unable to help you. You can unpack the .vpk files to modify the addon and that may make it work if you are still having problems. You'll have to sleuth around to figure out how to do that.
If you'd like to remove the addon's gunshot sound effects, either as you'd like the stock sounds or prefer another sound pack, you can simply not transfer over any .vpk file with the suffix "gunshots". You can also unpack the .vpk files to tweak more things.

If you'd like to modify this addon yourself (e.g., changing sounds, textures, model, using the animations) or include it in a pack or mod, go ahead. Credit me and other relevant authors/studios!
