UPDATED FOR ROBOTS AND GUARDIANS

Welcome to my mod, Vanilla+! My intention is to tweak vanilla gameplay elements that I think could use some adjustment. The developers have done an amazing job with the base game so luckily I didn't feel it necessary to do a larger overhaul. While scouring the available mods on the workshop, I didn't find exactly what I was looking for so decided to get my hands dirty and create something myself. Many mods can easily unbalance gameplay (which is fine if that's what you're looking for), but I wanted to stay as close to the original vision as possible.

Current Changes
  • Doubled stack sizes of all items/materials (except for clothing/weapons).
  • Armor/Clothing has 50% more durability and takes 25% less time to craft.
  • Added spaceship pants and jacket recipes. Requires synthetic fabric.
  • Adjusted temperature resistances of some clothing to be more consistent.
  • Trees contain 50% more wood, but also take 50% more time to cut down.
  • Gave punching pole and shooting targets damage resistance (60% blunt for pole, 60% piercing/energy for target).
  • Slightly increased time between attack waves.
  • Increased spawn distance X4 for all enemy waves and removed idle time.
  • Reduced "Cavedweller" debuff from -5 happiness to -2.
  • Doubled input/output/time for brick crafting. Results in less micromanaging.
  • Doubled amount each point of an attribute decreases skill time.
  • Halved Ken's "Experienced scavenger" trait benefit.
  • Halved Vivien's "Avid tailor" trait benefit.

    Regarding the survivor nerfs, I noticed that those two characters in particular almost seemed a requirement for a good playthrough. I've done my best to keep them viable while reigning them in a bit.

    All suggestions for future edits are welcome! I love this game and hope for its market success so we continue to get great content for it. Enjoy, my friends!

Hi, can someone tell me how to halve the "Experienced scavenger" trait? I want to use this trait for a character mod of mine, but also halved. I could not find the property in the Mod Editor

@oncemore343 Just hit the subscribe button, give it a few moments to download (it will show on your steam downloads for this game), then after loading the game go to the mod manager (at the bottom of the main menu) and enable it. As long as you're subscribed to the mod and it's enabled in the mod manager, the changes the mod makes will take effect in any new or saved games.

Good thing that should be vanilla imo : auto management of windows : opening or closing windows depending on the current indoor and outdoor temperatures to get light when possible or adjust temperature to a reasonable level otherwise

@heliostellar, Makk is not speaking about the game speed, he's speaking about the in-game time longevity, it's a totally different thing

@Makk, I use Jaggid's Game Speed Customizer for that. I upped the Fastest Speed to 10. It goes even higher, but I'm sure there's a major performance hit.

Is there any way to make "time" more realistic in game? Lets say one year should have 200~400days, not just 45. Besides, cutting, crafting and constructing should take much more time, while walking should be faster.

Just updated the mod to include a fix for robot attack waves. Thanks for the report.
