Woodcutter is...yeah, not great. You get more wood. Sometimes it spawns at higher ranks like one hemp or something. Same with Angler. Although Anglers' get fish, so a food resource. Otherwise both of those are stat buffs.
They also give no bonuses to repairing armor, I think only a really high ranked Tinkerer does that.
Miner at higher ranks is one of the only ways to get the higher tiered ores to spawn at the nodes that require the minigame.
Unless I'm mistaken Bards' only support ability is that if they are assigned in your camp, everyone is granted +1 to willpower.
- Alchemists are the only ones capable of reactivating rat nests, afaik
- As mentioned before, you absolutely need an alchemist to craft the higher tier equipment
- Without a scholar you will never get your hands on some legendary weapons
- A scholar is currently the fastest way to earn Knowledge points, especially if you visit the tombs for fragments and codices
