If anyone is experiencing boots to main menu you can try this earlier version[drive.google.com] provided by RogerDatSoldier

From what I've seen this happens when you use a lot of mods as well as my talker. I've never been booted myself and I use almost next to nothing.

Let me know if you find any bugs or errors. I'm human, so I've definitely made some mistakes

This only works in single player or a local server where the host has this mod installed.

"What da heck is this mod?"

A heavily modified TLS Talker Script File, made to be lore-friendly and fit into "Vanilla+". I've been working on this for on and off 3 years now.

"What da heck is a Talker?"

A talker is a script file that controls what survivors can say.

Here's a rundown of what I've changed:

-Restored a bunch of cut lines

-New "Custom" Lines (E.g. Coach will yell "This used be be a nice neighbourhood!" When picking up a Chrome Shotgun or Chainsaw and Zoey can say "Yoink!" when picking up any item.)

-New "Swear", "No", "Yes", "Run!" and other radial menu lines

-New "No" and "Laugh" lines when looking at a specific character "Tell me this boy ain't for real!"

-Lines that were previously rare now have a slightly higher chance of playing.

-New Character specific Watch Out! Lines (E.g: When playing as Coach and a zombie is behind Ellis Coach now has a chance to yell out Ellis's name instead of always using "LOOK OUT!")

-When staring at a bot survivor in the saferoom they will sometimes say a funni line, rather than "Ready?"

-Added lines that were removed in The Last Stand update. Most notably "Jesus Christ, Ellis, like the g*ddamn zombies aren't bad enough!"

-Jockey'ed on lines have been completely overhauled.

-Added HurrahAlso to L4D2 survivors

-Added tons of new HurrahAlso's to the L4D1 gang

-Made HurrahAlso play even if the survivor is a human player. (To make sure its not constant and annoying HurrahAlso will only have a 50% Chance to play.)

-Jockey Reaction lines will now play during the initial line, instead of after (Gone are the days of Rochelle yelling "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, that thing's riding him!" a solid 10 secs after the jockey was killed)

-After revisiting L4D1 I was curious and found a few changes in the Talker when they moved L4D1 into L4D2 Most notably - Friendly Fire lines that are just the loud name calling lines, so I've put those back in as well as adding them for the L4D2 gang. "FRAAAAANCISSSSSS!"

-Removed some TransitionClose lines. (Ones that were too upbeat for a survivor dying.) Idea taken from THIS mod.

-Integrated LostCall lines into trapped in closet lines. (A feature that was in L4D1's Talker.)

-HurrahAlso added onto player transitions, making it more inclusive rather then just one person celebrating. (NOTE: Some lines might be cut off if both lines are long ones, I'll be monitoring this closely and fixing it accordingly.)

-Added Sole Survivor transition lines for ALL survivors. Before Nick and Coach only had 1 line each for this and Imma be honest, were WAY too laid back for someone knowing they are F$CKED.

-New Witch Cr0wn3d Lines for all survivors

-Shuffled up the Dead Center SI lines so its more confusing, perfect for how the survivors feel when seeing these horrors for the first time. (E.g: Rochelle will use her "HOLY SH*T WHATS THAT?!" for seeing the Charger, Smoker and Spitter.)

-Shuffled up all of the Grabbed by SI lines to play with other Grabbed by SI lines. (e.g. Coach's tank pound line "GET IT OFF - GAH DAMN - GET IT OFF ME!" will now play as a pounced by hunter line as well.)

-Ellis will say his Dead Center SI call outs normally. (Its in character) "HUMPER!"

-Added lines for killing the Witch while she is aggro (Mostly "That was close!" lines)

-Added new reloading intense lines for both sets of survivors, think THIS mod but not overwriting any previous lines

-Restored cut Back Up Quiet Lines. Plays in "Witchville" (Hard Rain Chapter 2, the area with a bunch of Witches.)

-Made Nick a bit more mean when you melee him. Restored the classic "WHAT THE-" Friendly Fire line that was taken out in the TLS update.

-Added Tank Specific Molotov Throw Lines.

-Added LeavingSafeArea & LeavingSafeRoom lines

-Added PlayerTransitions for c1m1_hotel instead of dead silence (Mostly "That was close" lines with some story ones sprinkled in.)

-Added "IsNotIncap'd" to tons of responses (Kill confirmations, nice shot lines, hearing SI, etc...)

-Overhauled Friendly fire melee lines and made a few changes to Bullet Friendly Fire Lines (for example: Before Ellis had 3 Melee FF lines, now he has 16.)

-L4D1 Survivors now use player specific lines for Melee Friendly fire, meaning if you smack Francis over the head will a guitar while playing as Bill he can say "You havin' some kinda flashback old man?!" instead of always using a generic one

-Added lines to L4D1 Survivors reacting to L4D2 things (Picking up a Bile jar, reaction to someone getting jockey'ed)

-New SI Kill Melee lines

-Added specific rare GoingToDie die lines for Nick on The Passing Map 1 & 2 "Curse you Jimmy Gibbs!"

-Added better, more realistic reaction lines for shooting and reacting to someone shooting a car "Have you lost your MIND?!"

-Added a few Easter eggs. (Louis calling Bill a boomer, Ellis not knowing what twitter is.)

-Many more changes. Too much to list (Edit: This line is no longer a joke, I've legit hit the steam character limit!)

Inspiration and some Ideas for lines taken from Rise's 8 Player Modified Talker and Helrika's Vocalizer so big thanks to them.

Oh I do have the old version before its January 2025 update and working as intended with no issues. I'll be looking forward to try out this new version soon and hopefully, it won't have the same thing happened

That was the main plan when I started to rebuild it but I don't doubt it does since I think I've hit the limit again already. I'll keep this version up and I think someone here stated they have an older version saved if you still have trouble with it.

@PlayerZero That was I've saved a legacy version of this mod, a.k.a before it was updated to this recent one. That basically fixed my issue
