Go to "Library" and run the "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege"



Wait until game is fully open and get you to main menu
-STEP 2-
Open the "Task Manager"




How to open Task Manager | Method 1
Simply press "CTRL + SHIFT + ESC"




How to open Task Manager | Method 2
Press "CTRL + ALT + DEL" and go to "Drop-down menu"

Select the "Task Manager" option




How to open Task Manager | Method 3
Press the "Search button" on taskbar

Search for "Task Manager" and click open to open it




How to open Task Manager | Method 4
Press the "Start button" on your keyboard or taskbar

Type "Task Manager" and click open to open it
-STEP 3-
If it's on "Fewer details" mode to you: Click to "More details" button and switch to more details mode



Go to "Details" tab on the Task Manager


Find the "RainbowSix.exe"
OR Find the "RainbowSix_Vulkan.exe" if you play at Vulkan mode

Right Click on it and select the "Set affinity" option


Select only "CPU 0 and CPU 1" then press "OK"
-STEP 4-
Open the "Windows PowerShell"



How to open Windows PowerShell | Method 1
Press the "Search button" on taskbar

Search for "Windows PowerShell" and click Run as Administrator to open it



How to open Windows PowerShell | Method 2
Press the "Start button" on your keyboard or taskbar

Type "Windows PowerShell" and click Run as Administrator to open it
-STEP 5-


Copy and paste this command to the line
Get-Process RainbowSix | Select-Object ProcessorAffinity

OR Copy and paste this command to the line if you play at Vulkan mode
Get-Process RainbowSix_Vulkan | Select-Object ProcessorAffinity


Press "Enter" to run the command



You should get a number. For this guide it is "🍎"
We will use it in our command
-STEP 6-
Return to "Task Manager > Details > Processor Affinity"



Now select "All Processors" and press "OK"
-STEP 7-
Return to "Windows PowerShell"


Copy and paste this command to the line
Get-Process RainbowSix | Select-Object ProcessorAffinity

OR Copy and paste this command to the line if you play at Vulkan mode
Get-Process RainbowSix_Vulkan | Select-Object ProcessorAffinity


Press "Enter" to run the command


You should get another number. For this guide it is "🍌"
We will use it in our command
-STEP 8-
Open the "Notepad"



How to open Notepad | Method 1
Go to "Desktop" and "Right Click" to anywhere
Get on the "New" tab and select the "Text Document" option


How to open Notepad | Method 2
Press the "Search button" on taskbar

Search for "Notepad" and click open to open it



How to open Notepad | Method 3
Press the "Start button" on your keyboard or taskbar

Type "Notepad" and click open to open it
-STEP 9-


Copy and paste this command to the notepad

OR Copy and paste this command to the notepad if you play at Vulkan mode

Click "File" tab and select "Save as..." option
OR Press "CTRL + SHIFT + S" to save


Select the "Desktop" from "This PC" on the right


Rename the file name as "Fix.bat" and press "save"
-STEP 10-
Go to desktop and Double Click to run "Fix.bat"

With this command, "Fix.bat" will automatically adjust the affinity settings and fix the freezing / stuttering / lagging issue.
YOU NEED TO KEEP IT OPEN IN THE BACKGROUND

YOU SHOULD RUN THIS FILE EVERY TIME BEFORE YOU START TO PLAY
OR you can start it mid-game, press a key and keep it behind
HOW TO TEST IT?
RUN "Fix.bat" WHEN THE GAME START TO FREEZE, THEN PRESS A KEY TO ACTIVATE THE COMMAND INSTANTLY. IF IT IS WORKING, THE GAME SHOULD NOT FREEZE IN THE SAME MATCH

After new update you need to rename the process and add BE, but for me it fixes the lags but only for like 30 seconds then it lags again..

As of the most recent update this is no longer working, for me at least.

I tried this, but it didn't seem to do much, sadly the game is a diaster on my end, pretty much bordeline unplayable, i have microstutters, random freezing and sometimes, the fps will drop and stay low for the whole match combined with even stronger stutter, all of these can happen at random intervals and also, some matches can go flawless and perfect, it can't be reproduced.

More demanding games such as Forza Horizon 5 or games around the same era of this game, such as Metal Gear Solid V or heavier, more complex open world games such as Hitman 3 or World War Z game run perfect and the fps drops i get in those are normal due to CPU limits, but it happens very rarely. R6S is a turd that somehow seems to be running worse every time i play it. Even Elden Ring runs better. Yes, Elden Ring, Fromsoft's technical disaster.

I vomit on Ubisoft and these useless devs, ruining forever and permanently one of my favorite games of all time because they are MORONS and IDIOTS.

thanks for the feedback maybe if you guys were the devs we would have a better siege
