Armour Functionality

This guide presents the amount of damage reduction you get from every point of armour, and the formula for calculating it yourself.

Damage and vitality simply give +1% damage and max health respectively per point, while armour has a formula for how much damage reduction it gives.

It can be calculated as (ARMOUR x 100) / (100 + ARMOUR), so to find the damage reduction for 20 armour you would do (20 x 100) / (100 + 20), becoming 2000 / 120, resulting in 16.7% damage reduction.

I'm searching how armor interacts with "Damage Blocked" mechanics!
Does the damage reduction calculation apply before or after damage blocked?

If the damage reduction calculation is applied before,
then stacking armor is counter synergistic to characters that benefit from high amounts of blocked damage.
Vitality, would in this case, be the best defensive stat.

If the damage reduction calculation is applied after,
then you can stack as much armor as you would like to maximize effective HP.
Armor would always be the best defensive stat.

I calculated this and each 1 point of armor gives +1% Effective HP.

Armor looks like useless stat in this game for me. DMG is much better.

I can add the marginal armor gain later. Not hard to do but it’ll be a lot of monotonous typing lmao

Doesn't this mean the quick mental math for armor can be done with "effective health added" as well? 100 armor = 50% damage reduction, or effectively 100 extra health if you were at 100 health. This continues all the way up to the highest example number on the table with 500 armor. 83.3% damage reduction is effectively equal to taking 1/6 of the damage, so your effective health would be 600 (with 100 hp).
