The universal caterpillar tractor T-70 was created by the Chisinau Tractor Plant in 1974. This industrial enterprise was founded back in 1945, but the first tractor rolled off the assembly line only in 1962. The basic version of the T-70 caterpillar tractor was created on the basis of the obsolete MTZ-80 . At the same time, the technical characteristics have undergone significant changes, which could have a positive effect on improving the overall operational potential of the T-70.

Purpose -

The basic variation of the tractor is used for the cultivation of row crops. The installation of semi-mounted and trailed equipment allows you to carry out a whole range of works on the processing of sugar beets or grapes. In addition, the T-70 can be used for public works. It should also be noted that this tractor model was part of the technical staff of the expedition to the North Pole in 1978-1980.



The T-70 tractor is equipped with a separate-aggregate hydraulic system and a rear linkage mechanism with an automatic hitch. The presence of this element allows for simple attachment of agricultural machines of mounted and semi-mounted type. The installation process is carried out through the use of a towing device, which is mounted on the rear rings of the longitudinal rods of the hitch mechanism. More than fifty different types of trailed and hinged mechanisms can be installed on the T-70 tractor.
