John Dice

I swear if one more person calls the dice staff a block of cheese I am going to scream

John Dice joins Rivals of Aether! He plays as a Rushdown, who contains lots of stage control through his gimmick, Dice.


Whenever John Dice uses a STRONG attack or aerial USPECIAL, he creates a Dice. John Dice can have up to three Dice out at once, and his SPECIALs all interact with the Dice currently out. They all have a Rank, which changes the damage and knockback Dice do.

When NSPECIAL is used, John Dice's Dice are all moved to his Storage. When he uses an attack that then brings out a Dice, the Dice is brought out from Storage and used (so, if he would normally send out a second rank Dice with a fourth rank in Storage, he would send out a fourth rank Dice). This can also send out a weaker Dice, so be careful!

FSPECIAL, when used, has high start lag but low end lag. It also launches all grounded Dice into the air. John Dice can use this attack from anywhere, allowing him to capitalize from Dice from a safe distance!

For John Dice's USPECIAL, he throws a Dice below him and uses his staff like a pogo stick off of it. How high he goes depends on what rank Dice he used to launch - but if he has the max amount of dice out, his recovery suffers largely.

John Dice whacks his staff on the ground twice, causing all of his Dice to rank up once. This is the main way to access the higher Dice ranks, so use this tool optimally!

I mean it's still a pretty big list but it's smaller than my other characters. Final Smash Buddy coming soon as well; the internals are finished but the animation isn't yet.
