This guide will show you how to fix the error of "The Server Is Not Responding" when attempting to join your friends on Killing Floor! Text and video walkthroughs are provided.

First off you will need to open up the steam interface in game by holding Shift and pressing Tab. Once there, attempt to join your friend and you should get the "The Server Is Not Responding" error. Copy the IP Address shown for the server.

Go back to killing floor and click Multiplayer. Once there right click the empty background while no servers are showing and click Open IP where it will prompt you to enter the IP Address for a server. Paste the IP Address you copied earlier and click OK. You should now be joining the server your friend is on!

This is not a bug fix, there are already earlier guides with better scores detailing all the ways to join without misleading people into thinking it actually fixes the bug, rather than finding a work-around.

I can't select the option Join game.. why? I've tried opening console and "open IP" but it didn't work..

What can I do?

This constantly fails for me, so the workaround is the only wasy to access friends games. However 1 of my friends can connect without any issues.

Ports are all open but not working atm.Sometimes it works and sometimes not, strange

@Citronz Are you hosting your game? Make sure the proper ports are opened in your firewall and router. It's friggin annoying and doesn't automatically do it for you, so you have to manually open the ports.

Not working for my friends. Just opens black screens aka index.rom.

or just hit ~ and type "open (paste ip here)"
