I played NV and TTW with 150 mods .. without a lot of problems, however who wrote the first line above has never played FO76 biggest "game engine" fail possible, not "game world fail".
Nothing like a game with interactive combat sticking big announcements between you and a target intend on killing.
bModifyDirectXBehavior = 0 to 1 in NVTF ini.
My stance on mo2 is well known so I won't really talk too much about it but my big thing is you should be using backups or doing things that you can revert while modding. If you know there's a risk of losing progress its always worth it to make a "checkpoint" I don't think the pros outweigh the cons for that MM.
Why the MO2 ModManager is really neat:
Nothing that gets loaded through MO2 can brick your game. That makes MO2 perfect for someone who is new to modding and probably will make some mistakes.
All in all, this guide is pretty good.
Thanks, Drake, for all the work you put into it. :)

Why I dislike LOOT:
LOOT works reliably in two cases:
- A guide was made specifically with the use of LOOT.
- LOOT is used by someone that has experience with modding Bethesda games.
So how does LOOT work (and why is it a bad idea for FNV ?)
LOOT has a master list in which volunteers and people from the modding community register what kind of priority a mod in your load order should have. The LOOT Database for games like Skyrim and Oblivion gets a lot of community support and is generally more accurate. The last time the LOOT Database for FNV was updated was sometime in 2023.
