As a warning, it seems like probes are currently broken. The Scanner will automatically pinpoint the actual location of the hidden system feature, but anything there will not populate.

Many thanks for taking the time to share. The game overall is brill but this part of it is confusing and I am struggling to see the point, although, you do sometimes need to scan to find a pilot with a bounty but to do that you only need to use the Catcher. Hopefully someone will be able to show a video where it works and delivers a benefit, as, finding a station that isn't operational is a waste of time.

Can you hit H, comm with the station you found and request landing? Ima go find out. since I'm starting to grind explore and X-guild.

You don't have to buy probes if the values go down. The values are energy. So they simply drain from use. Its not the durability of the probes. Once the probes are almost depleted. Land on a Station. Hold F for Services, the probes will have a Wrench or Spanner image next to it. Keep an eye on the percentages, they will slowly recharge over time, and you can just charge the Probes energy that way. You will be wasting money constantly buying new probes.
