Basically i've put a comments on this sheet at line #82, explaining I didn't took the time to test all the skills below this point and there may be a few errors.
If you're willing to test them and update the sheet, I could give you editing rights. Let me know if you wish to do that, otherwise it may take some time before I verify them.
But you can even see it in the timeline for the next turn.
Even if every char is already to the far left without a monster in-between, the picture of these chars glow blue and bounce up, as if they want to push even further... which they can't since they are already on the leftmost position.
Basically, if you already start the fight with the buff and use this attack, it still pushes your party forward.
While 'Lunar Lunge' extends the duration of the existing buff, it won't apply a stronger version.
That's why I came to the conclusion that the attack actually pushes the chars forward.
Just fight at night with Throné and you start with the speed buff.
'Lunar Lunge' still pushes you forward.
And since a buff won'T get stronger after applying it multiple times and only last longer, the only explanation is that this attack pushes the party forward.
Buffs in Octopath are a bit weird how they function. For example if you buff your physical attack, it doesn't actually raise the stat, it just multiply your damage by 50%, otherwise if it would actually raise the base stat, it would act a lot different like it would be very strong against enemies with high defense stats and less noticeable against weaker enemies, I guess with speed buff it's similar in the way it doesn't really increase the stat itself, but it pushes you 1 turn sooner over the enemies
It doesn't just raise your P.ATK and SPD, it seems to push your party closer to the left on their next turn, similar to Agnea's 'Windy Refrain'.
It won't push them completely to the left if multiple monsters act before them, only one monster at a time.
