I thought it was odd that there would be 2 different technologies that were essentially the same. It was bugging me a little bit, so I merged Black Powder into Gunpowder from Vanilla Weapons Expanded.

Features:

Merges the Black Powder and Gunpowder technologies.

Wouldn't mind if more of the technologies got condensed, gunpowder was always kind of underwhelming for the cost. Maybe the bows could be condensed as well? Many thanks for the spiffy patch!

Sure, but most things in Rimworld are pretty abstracted. Take components or wood for example. Anyway Gunpowder unlocks a musket, while Black Powder leads to the Tanegashima gun which is just a matchlock musket. So in this case they are the same thing.

It's actually not odd at all that the two technologies are separate. Modern gunpowder is very different from medieval black powder. Heck the contemporary black powder that I use in my arms today is very different from medieval powder.

Seconded, I'd love to see Holgast's suggestion be done. The Edo Mod adds Black Powder, too.

could you also add compatibility with Chinese Culture Expanded and other mods that add gunpowder weaponry
