Introduction
Travellers Rest Achievements Guide
I`ve noticed there’s no achievement guide yet for Travellers Rest, so let’s make the first one! I won’t be referring to basic game mechanics unless it is crucial for understanding the achievement requirements, or if it’s kind of confusing how to follow the steps (for that purpose you have Begginer’s Guide and some others that explain the game basics). If you need more in-deep explanation for some of the mechanics, you can also read the Travellers Rest Fandom Wiki[travellers-rest.fandom.com], which is currently in development.

One thing that you might want to take into consideration is that most of the Achievements in this list are STACKABLE, meaning that you have a progress bar that fills as you complete the required task, regardless if you save your progress at the end of the day, or if you do it in different save files (it still counts even if you do so), so it is pretty hard to miss the mark on most of them.
We’ll be dividing the Achievements in 4 blocks:

  1. Self-explained Achievements: (those which do not need further explanation)
  2. Farming related Achievements: (those that you get by farming and harvesting)
  3. Animal training related Achievements: (those that you get by training certain pets)
  4. Cooking and Brewing Achievements: (those which you get by crafting or serving certain drinks or brews to your customers in your tavern)
  5. Crafting and Foraging related Achievements (those which you get by using the crafting stations in your tavern yard or foraging outside)
  6. Tavern tasks related Achievements (the largest category, and by far the one you will spend the most time with)
  7. Tavern keeper King's Temple related Achievements
  8. Fishing related Achievements
  9. Junk Gathering related Achievements

I'm adding two more sections at the end of the guide to facilitate the fishing tasks; a bait list, and the complete fishing journal with all the info about the 32 different available fish.

*Note: consider that this game is currently in development, so there might be some things in this guide that can and will change and may no longer be exactly the same way they were in the moment I originally wrote the guide. If so, let me know in the comment section and I'll update it ASAP.
Self-Explained Achievements
Small Business Owner: Earn 100 gold coins.
It is that simple: you need to open your tavern each day and sell brews and cooked dishes in order to gain coins (100 copper coins equals 1 silver coin, and 100 silver coins equals 1 gold coin)

Business Owner: Earn 800 gold coins.
Same as the previous one. These two Achievements are STACKABLE as I mentioned at the beginning of the guide, so just keep playing and eventually you’ll get both of them. This task can take between 30-40 hours.

Reaper: Cut 1000 weeds.
You have to use the copper scythe which is given to you for free following the tutorial tasks, and use it to cut the weeds that grow outside of your tavern. This is a stackable achievement as well.

Insomnia: Overnight 10 times.
This was ironically the achievement that took me the longest time to figure out how to do, but it is pretty simple. You might have noticed that when you are playing, you have a time warning at 2.00 a.m., telling that you are starting to fall asleep, and that you should go to bed. The only thing you have to do is ignore this warning and spend one more hour fooling around so you will finally faint at 3 a.m. You have to do this 10 times, and then the achievement is done.

Note: I suggest to do this gradually, not all days in a row, as fainting makes you get up later the day after.

Teamwork: Hire an employee of each type.
You won't unlock employees until you reach reputation level 6 on your tavern. Once you do that, you have to hire one of each of the four categories of employees that you have available at the bulletin board outside your tavern; a Bartender, a Waiter, A Bouncer and a Housekeeper (this last one won't be available until you unlock the rental rooms at rep. level 8).
Farming related Achievements
Homegrown: Harvest 300 crops.
Not much of a mystery, you have to buy 300 seeds at the mailbox in front of your tavern (5 copper coins each) and plant them in your backyard (for that you have to get the copper shovel and the copper hoe, which you get by completing the quests on the very first days of the game), and then water the soil with the watering can, then (after watering the soil) you can plant the seeds. You will have to water the seedlings with the watering can every three days to keep them growing (not need to water manually in rainy days).

Praise corn!: Harvest 50 corn plants.
You can complete this achievement at the same time than the previous one. The corn seeds are unlocked from the beginning of the game, so you can use those or any other seeds that you have unlocked to complete both of them.
Animal training related Achievements
Purfect!: Reach the highest level of affinity with your cat.
Within the first few days of the game, an stray cat will show up in your tavern (you can then personalize his appearance and his name) You have to buy a cat bed (24 silver and 27 copper coins) and a water bowl (19 silver and 50 copper coins) for your new pet via Mailbox (the ideal place to put them both is near the fireplace of your tavern). You will have to fill the water bowl daily, and pet him at least once a day (pressing E near him), as a heart above his head fills gradually. Once you've done this for a few days, you will see a golden crown above the heart, and then the achievement will be done.

Eggs-plosion: Incubate an egg until it hatches.
Most important thing here, you won’t be able to complete none of the two following achievements unless you get to day 23 within the game calendar. Meanwhile, save as much money as you can, because you’re gonna need some gold coins for your first visit to Crowly (NPC). You can find him every Wednesday and Thursday after 19.00h getting southwest of the Tavern (if you’re not sure or you lost track of the days of the week, I suggest you to buy a Wall Calendar at the Mailbox for 80 silver coins). Therefore, you have to wait till 19.00h outside the area, otherwise, he won’t show up.

if you travel all the way south to your tavern you will find this stone stairs...

...and in the new area, you have to head south east till you see this dark path covered in grass....

... that will lead you to this area with the campfire.

If you have followed all the steps and you enter the area within the time and the days I mentioned, you will find Crowly...

...and his store.

Once you’ve reached day 23 and found Crowly, you can have a short conversation with him, and then you will have access to his store (you have an image above that shows the shop stock, but the prices might not be the same as yours due to te XP technology investments that allows the player to have reduced buying prices). Here you have to buy 3 things: a parrot egg (aproximately 8 gold coins) 20 bird crackers (aprox. 15 silver coins each, although I would suggest to buy a couple more just in case you feed one or two by accident at the wrong time) and a bird perch (wooden perch aprox. 2 gold coins, medieval perch aprox. 4 gold coins, and the imperial perch aprox. 5 gold coins). Thats why I highly suggest you to save between 15 and 20 gold coins before paying a visit to the store.

Note: the cheapest perch will do the job, although if you buy one of the most expensive ones it will look better.

You have to keep this egg in the speed-bar inventory, and just keep walking and doing normal tasks; eventually, it will hatch and become a bird (you can name it and place it in the hanger you have to previously place in your tavern as well).

Early Bird: Reach the maximum training level of a bird for the first time.
Then, you have to keep an eye on the bird, because it will randomly say things to your customers (which can be positive or negative); whenever you see it saying a positive thing, you may approach and feed him a treat (the ones you have bought from Crowly) using the E command on the keyboard. This will fill a bar (which you can consult by pressing Q near the bird) and will determine whether the bird says good or bad things more often. However, you can only give two treats per day to the bird, and it takes 20 treats to get it to the maximum level, so it will take 10 days to complete.
Cooking and Brewing Achievements
Carnivore: Serve 1000 meat dishes:
This Achievement will require you to first unlock some skills from the tech tree using skill points. For this purpose, you can use these following talents (which you can unlock in the cooking section of the skill tree, with the costs representing R for Red Points, B for Blue Points and G for Green Points)
  • Stew: R3 B2 G3
  • Roasting: R2 B1 G2
  • Sausage: R4 B1 G2
Any of these dishes can be done at your kitchen using just one piece of meat (pork, beef or chicken) which you can buy at the farm shop, located north-west of your farm. Once you have cooked them, the only thing you have to do is add them to your tavern inventory and serve them to your clients. Make sure you don’t add any veggies to the recipe, otherwise it won’t count. This Achievement is STACKABLE.

Herbivore: Serve 1000 veggie dishes.
This is the same than the previous one, but serving dishes without any meat in them. For these purpose you can use any dish that does not need to be served with meat (soup (R3 B0 G2) or stew (R3 B2 G3) would be the most obvious ones), then proceed the same way we described in the previous one. This might take some time, but it is stackable, so don't give up!

Note: dishes that contain grain as bread or porridge do not count towards this achievement unless you add any vegetable to the recipe.

Piscivore: Serve 1000 seafood dishes
This achievement is pretty similar to the previous ones, but you have to cook dishes with fish or seafood in the recipe, which you can obtain by fishing and harvesting ingredients at the beach and the river. Some of the easiest dishes you can use for this purpose are Fish Broth or Roasted Fish, for example.

Master Brewer: Brew 100 kegs of beer.
This one will take some time to complete too, due to the long, multistep procedure you have to follow to craft one single keg of beer (you will learn how to do it during the first days of the tutorial). If you want to speed it up the process a little bit, I'll leave here some advice:
  • Once you reach reputation level 8 and you are able to access the construction mode, expand your crafting area, so you can allocate multiple malting machines, brewing barrels and fermentation tanks. The more of these you have, the less time you will spend to get the achievement.
  • You can buy those crafting stations via your Mailbox (altough they are not presicesly cheap , but you can reduce that price by unlocking some nodes of the XP upgrades, which are available once you reach tavern reputation level 3, and you can fill up with experience you get by completing orders on the bulletin board).
  • I personally suggest you not to buy them, but craft them in the correpondent stations. You can craft a Malting machine at the Blacksmith Table (this one you can craft at the Sawmill) altough one is enough for this task, due to the short processing periods it has. You can craft a Brewing Barrel at the Sawmill (60 wooden planks, 10 iron sheets and 30 iron nails) and a Fermentation Tank at the Stone Workshop (40 stone block, 15 iron bar, 30 iron nails, 3 mortar) once you have unlocked its correpondent nodes on the skill tree and the correpondent crafting stations for its components.
Crafting and Foraging Achievements
Artisan: Craft 50 items.
This one is quite easy once you have completed the tutorial and unlocked the crafting area outside your tavern. Any item crafted at the 3 stations (carpentry, woodwork, stone or metal works) counts towards this achievement, so pick the ones which you find easier in terms of materials or time requirements. This is an stackable achievement.

Reforestation: Plant 50 trees
Whenever you chop a tree using your axe (there are three types: acacia, elm and oak trees), there is a chance that you get a sprout aswell; you have to plant this sprouts in an empty space (which has to be four tiles wide). Do this 50 times and the achievement will be done!

Mind the Gap: Dig 50 holes.
You will randomly find outside of your tavern an "x" mark on the ground; use your shovel on it to dig a hole; that will grant you some ingredients and interesting stuff as well. Do this 50 times and the achievement will be ready.

This are the "X" marks you have to look for.
Tavern tasks Achievements
Boot them out!: Kick out 30 angry customers.
On the first week of your tutorial, you will be taught how to deal with angry customers; they randomly appear throughout the day, with a red face showing in a bubble above their head. Normally you would approach them inmediately and ask them to calm down, but we won't do this; instead, let them be angry and get up from their chair, and then get close to them and swipe your broom in their face. You have to do this 30 times to get the achievement. This is a STACKABLE one as well.

Good host: Rent 100 rooms.
This one might take some time. It won't be until you reach tavern reputation level 8 that you unlock the construction mode. Once you get there and buy the construction table (I highly suggest you to pay attention to the construction mode tutorial) you can build some rooms for rentals (you will unlock more with each new level of tavern reputation that you reach, so try to have at least 4 or 5 to speed this up, because you can only rent each room one time per day), the good news are that rentals are highly profitable and that this achievement is... yes, you got it, STACKABLE!

If you need more info about rentals (costs, furniture, haggling...), take a look at the related page of the Wiki.[travellers-rest.fandom.com]

Local supplier: Deliver 20 orders.
This function is ulocked once you reach tavern reputation level 4. Outside of your tavern you will find a board with three sections (employees, calendar and deliveries). Every day three new delivery requests will appear for you to fill them up (you don't have to, but it is pretty useful). You have to elaborate the food and brews with the described modifiers, and then click the delivery you want to fullfill (it will then appear at te right side), and finally click in the item in your inventory that matches the requirements of the order (left click to add all of them at once, right click to add them one by one). Once the number required is met, you can click in the order to send it and collect the XP points (you can invest them buying new skills). Do this 20 times and the achievement is done!

This is the bulletin board...

...then you have to open the poster on the right that highlights when you swipe your mouse above it...

... and finally this window will pop up.

Clean as a whistle: Clean 200 tables.
This is easy, although it might take a few days. Just clean the tables that get dirty while your tavern is open (pressing E near them). It can be helpful to press V to see the tavern view (it highlights dirty tables and floors so its easier to see them as they pop). Just keep wiping and you'll get it in no-time.

Note: It only counts if YOU clean the tables yourself, not counting the ones that your staff cleans for you.

Do you have a reservation?: Get 50 simultaneos customers in your tavern.
This one is, without a doubt, the achievement that will take you ages to complete. You have to extend your maximum customer capacity (by raising your rep. level to at least 18 + your customer general satisfaction), and then build more space in the construction mode for costumers to sit, add more tables and decor. Hiring staff is highly recommended as well to manage the crowd. So don't give up!

You have to look at the maximum occupancy number: if it is below 50, you won't be able to fullfill this achievement.

Interior Design: Get your tavern to comfort level 200.
You have to get 200 comfort points for your tavern; this can be achieved purchasing, putting caught fish on the wall, crafting and exchanging Wilson's points for decorations. To optimize this, put high tier wall and ground decorations. If you want to know how many points you have, press "B" inside your tavern to enter the decoration mode. Keep in mind that you cannot accumulate more than certain points from placing the same object multiple times.
Tavern Keeper King's Temple Achievements
Ancient knowledge: Light the fire in the Tavern Keeper King's Temple.
To find the Temple, you have to travel north of your tavern, and then follow the west path, until you find a cave entrance, that will lead you to a purplish portal; traverse through it and you will find a shrine. Interact with it, see some lines and then interact again; you will light the fire, and the achievement will automatically pop up.

This is the entrance you have to look for.

Raider of the Lost Culinary Arts: Spend 50 Recipe fragments at the Temple.
Once you have found the Temple, you can spend Recipe Fragments in it, unlocking new Recipes for your tavern. You get some fragments every time you level up your tavern reputation. Each recipe costs 5 fragments, so purchasing 10 recipes should unlock the achievement.
Junk Gathering related Achievements
Beachcombing: Pick up 20 pieces of junk.
You will find junk either by digging holes with your shovel, semi-buried in the shore or by fishing. Get 20 pieces of junk by this method and then the achievement will be done. This achievement is stackable.

Deep Clean: Pick up 50 pieces of Junk.
This is exactly the same as the previous one, it will just take a little bit more time.

Recycl-art: Purchase 50 decorations from Wilson.
You have to head east of the beach area, until you see a wooden building with red curtains; this is Wilson's home. Enter the building and meet him, talk to him twice; you will reach and agreement; you will gather junk and sell it to him in exchange for Wilson's seals; you can use those to purchase things from his shop. This task will take some time, since you will need a lot of credits. I suggest you to buy the cheapest things, besides to the 5 fishtanks needed to fulfill the next two achievements.

This is Wilson's hut...

And this is the spot where you exchange the junk for Credits.

Can I Keep it?: Obtain a Fishtank:
You have to gather some junk as described in the previous achievement, exchange it for Wilson's credits and then talk to Wilson and open his shop; here, you have 6 different fishtanks to choose. For this first achievement you only have to purchase one of them. Note that you can use the fishtanks to place them inside your tavern to earn decoration points.

Aquarist: Obtain 5 different fishtanks:
Same as the previous one, but you have to purchase 5 different tanks of the 6 Wilson has available in his shop.

These are the fishtanks with the correspondent prices. This won't be affected by the reduced buying prices from the tech-tree.
Fishing related Achievements
Hot Rod: Obtain your first fishing Rod
If you travel all the way south of your tavern, south-west of the forest and again south of the farm, you will end up in the beach area; here, you will find a dock, where a blonde girl will be fishing; this is Hikari. Talk to her, have a short conversation and then walk away; you will see a dialogue bubble above her head asking you to come back; then, she will let you take the old fishing rod to her left. The achievemeny will automatically pop up. After that, you will be taught how to fish by her.

This is Hikari chilling on the docks.

Fishing master: Catch 200 fish:
This might seem a mammoth task, but in the two following sections I'll leave some general information about baits and about all the fish that can be useful (Hikari will explain most of this when you ask her);

Small Fry: Catch a minimum-sized fish.
This achievement will randomly pop up whenever you are fishing, altough you can use lower-tier fishing rods to try to maximize the chances of catching smaller fish.

Prize Catch: Catch a maximum-sized fish.
This is exactly the same random achievement as the previous one, so it's pretty aleatory, but you can use higher-tier fishing rods to improve the chance of catching big fish.

Reel Pro: Catch 10 different type of fish:
This one and the next one are two difficulties of the same type of task; you can either explore the possibilities by yourself (changing locations, bait and season) to try to find all the possible fish, or you can consult the list i'll leave in the next achievement if you need some help to check the conditions under what certain fish spawn.

More fish in the sea: Catch 25 different types of fish.
For this achievement you will have to fish 25 of the total 32 types of fish available. I'll leave the catch info of every fish in alphabetic order as it appears in the fishing diary you will get from Hikari a couple of days after getting the first fishing rod.
Baits
You have 5 different types of bait; the first two are basic ones, and will therefore attract weaker fish that are also weaker to catch. The following two are medium-difficulty baits, and the last one is the one that attrackts the rarest fish.

Larvae: The larvae will randomly drop as you chop trees in your tavern backyard area.

Worm: You can find worms digging holes in the ground tiles that are marked with an "X" using your shovel, mostly in the river and farm areas.

Meat bait: You can either purchase this from Hikari or craft it in your crafting area using one piece of raw meat (beef, pork or chicken) in your tavern yard, previously purchasing the crafting station from Hikari. Each piece of meat will produce 5 pieces of bait (this may be modificated regarding the EXP. traits you unlock in your skill tree).

Seafood bait: Same as the previous one, you can buy them from Hikari or craft them in the crafting station, using seafood you can harvest on the "X" marks located on the beach or on the west area of the beach you will find some big rocks from where you can harvest mussels daily. As it happens with the meat bait, each piece of seafood will produce 5 pieces of bait.

Lure: This is the best bait. You can purchase it from Hikari aswell.
Fishing Diary
Here you have all the fish catching info in alphabetic order:

That's all!
That's all for the moment. Feel free to comment, share or rate the guide if it helped you, and don't hesitate to let me know any mistakes that you find.

hello, i just wanted to inform to anyone who might need it: as of the latest update, to get the ''do you have a reservation'' achievement you should be at least 32 rep lvl.
Kind Flamingo 16 okt, 2024 @ 14:25
Thanks, I figured it out on the next day after my comment :) I did hire guys with these perks and the ocupancy is increased a lot, not just with number from their perks. I guess, there is some hidden calculation also. Anyway, thank you very much !
Erelain  [skapare] 16 okt, 2024 @ 13:46
Hi! It appears that the solution to your problem might be the employees, as there are some of them as bartenders that have a perk that allows you to have some more occupancy rate, so I suggest you to explore that option, try to get the employee with that perk, and then level it up with skill points to maximize the effect. Trend food and drinks may also have some impact, as well as the space and reputation of your tavern. Regards!

It's no problem; I thank you very much for writing and updating this fantastic guide because I'm sure this will help new and veteran players reach 100% again

Nice! Thank you so much for letting me know! I'll change the guide right away!

Ok, it took 3 days, but I can confirm it does take 50 items to get recycl-art; this was a horrible grind
