How to change JUST the subtitles (keeping audio)

In this tutorial you will learn how to change the subtitles of your game and keep the dialogue as English (like the tittle said :v)

Finding the file

In your Steam Library, right click on the game and choose "Properties..."

Now go to "Local Files" and click "Browse..."

Go to the folder "Win64" following the path "Phoenix\Binaries\Win64"

PS.: For security, make a copy of "Hogwarts Legacy.exe"

Change subtitle language

Take the file "Hogwarts Legacy.exe" and drag it to HexEdit[hexed.it], after that seach for "zh-cn"

Now change to the language you want

example:
"zh-CN" --> "pt-BR"
"schinese" --> "brazilian"

List of languages:

"ar-AE" "arabic"
"de-DE" "german"
"es-ES" "spanish"
"es-MX" "latam"
"fr-FR" "french"
"it-IT" "italian"
"ko-KR" "koreana"
"pl-PL" "polish"
"pt-BR" "brazilian"
"ru-RU" "russian"

You should have something like this:

Ps.: Don't add any character, just do replacements, for example "brazilian" have one more letter than "schinese", so instead of 4 dots after the word, we will have 3.

Finally, back to game properties on Steam, this time go to "Language" and select the language you choose for the subtitles.

Well, I'm just a artist who like playing some games, and I hope this guide help making you play the game with subtitles in the language of your preference.

Thanks for the feedback! English isn’t my first language, so I’m sure there are better ways to explain some stuff. I changed "throw it in" to "drag it to" and hope that makes more sense now. And if you’ve got any other suggestions, feel free to let me know!

Thank you supermuch - dont know either how its working, but its working :)! About suggestions - needed a bit for me to get what you mean with "throw it in" - copy was not working by me - was just opening hex-page in browser and was going to "open file" (hogwarts legacy) - then made language-change (as in your instruction) and then said "export" - after the .exe was in my downloads and i exchanged the original file against the new downloaded - rest made as you said (steam - "change language to prefered) - after starting game was sound still in english, but all text was in my wanted language... - perfect - thx - the best (sorry for precising your instructions ;) - greets

I don't know too, doesn't make sense to me, but worked, and I saw other people doing the same for their language

You changed Chinese sub to Brazilian Portuguese, but at the end you change the game language to Brazilian Portuguese instead of Chinese, how is that gonna work?
