It’s Sven! The Hypogeal Horror... Again!
The lone member of a cave dwelling species, Sven is an extremely lightweight fighter focused on constantly chasing opponents helped somewhat by his… unique method of shielding.

GIMMICK: Immunity
Unlike pretty much every other fighter in all of Rivals of Aether, pressing down the [Shield] button whilst playing Sven doesn’t get him to dodge, instead he just turns invincible. He can do this whilst doing almost anything at any time as long as he has enough “svenergy”.

Svenergy is an unknown substance Sven leeches from foes with Neutral Special and Down Special, the amount Sven has is displayed on the hud.

A VERY ABRIDGED EXPLANATION OF SVEN’S SPECIALS:

Neutral Special: Leech
Sven projects a bubble of an unidentified substance, collecting svenergy from any opponents and/or hitboxes in its radius, destroying all projectiles in the process. This attack is the only action where Sven can not become immune.

Side Special: Rock Spit
Sven spits a slow-moving rock-projectile, the rock will bounce off of all surfaces and other rocks, this move requires a small bit of svenergy to use.

Down Special: Svenergy Store
Sven rises, pointing down and throws themself into the ground, if he has enough svenergy and [Special] is still pressed when he hits the ground, Sven will create a store of svenergy.

This store generates more svenergy over time along with acting like a mini Neutral Special. If Sven is killed, they will respawn at this store and also receive all the svenergy contained within it.

Up Special: Spinal Hook
Sven ejects his skull and spine from his body in any specified direction, eventually the skull will clamp down, flinging Sven towards it, functioning like a grappling hook.
