I understand your decisions for which weapons get which XP, it makes sense. Would you mind if I made my own version that covers all of the weapons?
For example, I do the same movements when I swing a fire ax and a bat.
The only difference is what type of damage is dealt.
But weapon control is about the same.
In fact, Axes are 50% cutting, 50% crushing.
They have a displaced center of gravity. All that distinguishes them from blunt is the presence of a cutting edge.
Weapon wielding is basically wielding it frequently.
Therefore, when you swing approximately the same type of weapon, you get the same experience. The movement is worked out the same.
Only here, for spears and short knives, the animations are completely different, this is such ... its own category.
But here it is necessary to add depending on the attack animation.
We have the same animations for
Axes, Long Blunt, Blunt, Long Blade;
I'm thinking of making this weapon category for EXP share.
Short Blade only with Long Blade.
Spears.... poor lonely child...
