In this guide intended to help team-play, a bigot is someone who sees the creation of a safe space for values that most would deem actively-negative (re-enforcement of stereotypes, racist beliefs, etc) to be more important than playing the game. The players who appear as bigots may be trolling, seeking to upset teammates above helping them, or they may be serious and unapologetic. I’m not merely referring to players with racist names here; offensive names can be a problem for team communication (I refuse to type or say them), but such players may still be willing to be decent teammates (when they keep their remarks to themselves). I’m mainly referring to ideological clique-seekers and trolls who actively harm their teams through inaction, ignoring goals, TK’ing, etc.
