Just a copy of one of my posts, seemed a shame to just let it rot away...

- go fish past the trading post, in the lake where the stream joins it. Just ride the bike past the trading post straight and go to the shore. That's where bigger fish is and it is easy to go sell it to the butcher.

- look down when you are casting the line, this way it lands closer to you - less time to get a fish out

- after the fish bites, just press LMB, releasing it "every now and then for a moment". You will have to get a feel for it, but it is generally a second or two of pulling, then about half a second of releasing the button, then pressing it again. (This is for a big fish, the smaller ones from your personal pond you could pull out with hardly ever releasing the pull button.) No need to move the rod to "fight" fish, do move it a bit if you cannot see the line.

- and yes, try to watch the line... somewhat. After you get a feel for it, only the occasional glance in case you are bold enough to pull more than 4 seconds is enough.

- seems like the worse the weather is, the better the fishing is... but don't overdo it. Fishing in nice weather is slower, but at least you feel good
