Downgrade your driver to 22.6.1 or below
The driver can be downloaded from here:

https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/rn-rad-win-22-6-1

Scroll down to the installation package download link, download the installer and simply go through the installation as normal.
Fix Windows changing your driver
This step might not be necessary for everyone but in my case Windows was automatically trying to change graphics drivers on it's own after downgrading the AMD drivers, if your game starts crashing again after restarting your PC then this might be the cause. To fix this simply follow these steps:

  • Press Windows + S keys together to open Search
  • Now type Device installation settings
  • Click on Change Device installation settings and then select the option No (your device might not work as expected)
  • Now click on Save Changes

And that's it, Windows will stop overwriting any drivers now. If it already overwrote the driver just reinstall the AMD driver.

I never found a fix, I have an old laptop I’m going to dig out and that should play the game no problem.

Driver downgrades are bad, use bug fixes instead and tweaks for the specific software/game u got problem.

I did some more research and I am stumped.

Processor AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS w/ Radeon 780M Graphics 3.80 GHz
Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.2 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Windows 11, Nividia Geforce RTX 4060

These are my specs.

Is there a different download that would work for me? that would be accepted by my card to be downgraded

lol must have done something wrong because installing that bricked my entire computer had to factory reset

The majority of games should work totally fine with the older driver version, there might be outliers but I don't think you'll run into any issues with most games.

if i downgrade my drive it wont affect other games i try to play in between this?
