M12B Compact Miner

As a successor to the popular M12 the M12B has been retrofitted with additional thrusters to qualify for uses in environments with low to moderate gravity up to 0.75g. It features a gravel ejector function for high wield ore mining, a face down docking camera as well as a semi-automatic docking relay which handles all relevant docking procedures such as tank and battery recharge, thruster shutdown and energy saving mode.

The M12B has a high popularity among small mining corporations looking for cheap and easy to maintain mining vessels. Even though it is officially approved up to 0.75g, its weak side thrusters, pared with a tendency to tilt when fully loaded lead to numerous accidents earned the M12B among miners the infamous nickname "Death Crab".
