Stanford Forborough

West Pilkington's counterpart in the Capital. A bustling transport hub and glamorous destination. The 200 room Forborough Hotel flanks the Iron roof giving the most distinguished of travellers excellent dining and accommodation whether their Journey has ended or about to begin.

St Bart's station was becoming overcrowded in 1868 and being elevated the P&SR were reluctant to expand it. Instead the board of directors decided to build a grand terminus in both Pilkington and Stanford. Forborough was to receive the largest train shed in the Hemisphere and the several star Hotel to show the Railways are here to stay. The Station has been renovated and remodelled since and we see it today with 6 platforms, a Taxi rank and newsagents.Whilst never quite living up to the scale of its cousin in Pilkington Forborough became the crowning jewel of the company. The headquarters were relocated to the Inger Suite and continue to be based their to the current day, even if the hotel has been knocked down and rebuilt since.
